HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1869City Council City of Fort Worth, Texas No. 1869 WHEREAS, former Councilmember Jim Bagsby passed from this life on October 22, 1992; and, WHEREAS, Councilmember Bagsby, a McNeil, Arkansas native who came to Fort Worth in 1967 as a pharmacist, became involved in Fort Worth_ civic affairs and was appointed to the Fort Worth Human Relations Commission in 1974, won election to the Fort Worth City Council in 1977 when the first single-member district council was selected and served his city in numerous capacities during his 10 years of service on City Council; and, WHEREAS, Councilmember Bagsby's unfailing devotion to his community and his untiring efforts to improve the quality of life for each and every Fort Worth resident during his 14 years of service to the City of Fort Worth has made our community one of the greatest .places in the world in which to live; and, WHEREAS, Councilmember Bagsby had not only a strong love for his city and his community, but also for his family, friends and fellow citizens: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH> TEXAS on December 3, 1992, THAT the family of Councilmember Jim Bagsby be given the condolences of the City of Fort Worth as it shares with them the grief resulting from the loss of a deeply respected former council member and an outstanding citizen of Fort Worth; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this memorial r,~~~k 6P8~6~ upon the minutes of the City Council and that a copy be furnished to the famil ~ Bagsby as an expression by the City Council members of their sympathy.
