OBLIGATIONS TO FINANCE FACILITIES FOR USE AS A COMMUNICATIONS CENTER • WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (the "City") intends to own and operate a communications system for use by the City; and WHEREAS, the City has sought bids for the acquisition of equipment for installation of said system; and WHEREAS, the City intends to finance the costs incurred in connection with the acquisition of equipment and other public works necessary. for the operation of said center through the issuance of one or more series of tax-exempt obligations; and WHEREAS, the Cityy may be required .prior to the issuance of said obligations to fund a portion of tF~e cost of acquiring such equipment and other public works • with general fund revenues; and WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable for the City Council to adopt this Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT .,,, WORTH, TEXAS THAT: Section 1. It is the intention of the City to issue one or more series of obliga ions o the City (the "Reimbursement Bonds")) the interest on which is excludable from gross income under Section 103 of the Internal Revenue Code of • 1986 as amended, or the interest on which is not so excludable to obtain reimbursement for the expenditures the City will make for the property described in Exhibit A to this Resolution. Section 2. The property described in Exhibit A hereto is property having a reasons y expected economic life of at least one (1) year. Section 3. Payment for the property described in Exhibit A hereto may be initially m~form the general fund. Section 4. The City declares that the funds described in Section 3 of this Resolu iolr n are not reasonably expected to be allocated on a long-term basis, reserved, or otherwise available pursuant to its budget for financing of the property described in Exhibit A hereto. Section 5. The principal of, premium if any, and interest due on the Reimbursemen onds are expected to be paid from ad valorem taxes and available surplus revenues permitted by law to be pledged to the payment of the Reimbursement Bonds. Section 6. The City declares that it has not provided for, and does not ~•-° intend o~provide for, payment of the property described in Exhibit A hereto by budget or other allocations that are inconsistent with this Resolution. Section 7.
