He outlined the current sources of funding for the 97 million dollar Administration and Training Center project: $I OM from the sale of the current Police HQ; $50M from existing debt capacity; $27M from new debt capacity; and $l OM from CCPD excess fund balance and improved sales tax. Shallah Graham, Senior Administrative Services Manager, Police Department, addressed the fund balance in the CCPD budget if the proposed mid-year adjustments were made for the Police Training facility, the purchase of Mobile Data Computers and the annual funding of the Radio System starting in FY 2013. With these adjustments the fund balance in the CCPD budget would be less than the target of 37% of the current year operating budget in both FY 2102 and 2013. If the Board wanted to proceed with these expenditures the following would be the next steps: Funding application to the City Council CCPD Board Public Hearing (with a recommendation on how to restore fund balance) City Council Public Hearing This was a discussion/information item.
