Kayser, Secretary to the Board Charles Daniels, Assistant City Manager I.Call to Order With a quorum of the board members present, President Price called the meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District Board (CCPD) of Directors to order at 6:03 p.m., on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in the Pre-Council Chamber of the Fort Worth Municipal Building, 1000 Throckmorton, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. II.Approval of February 20, 2014 Minutes Motion was made by Director Shingleton and seconded by Director Jordan to approve the minutes of the February 20, 2014, Crime Control and Prevention District Board of Directors Meeting. The motion carried 7-0. (Directors Scarth and Bivens absent) III.Upcoming and Recent Events May 14, 2014, Groundbreaking at the Mounted Patrol Facility, 1901 N. Las Vegas Trail has been cancelled May 27, 2014, Annual Fort Worth Police Officers Award Dinner May 30, 2014, Police Recruit Class #135 Graduation May 31, 2014, First Special Needs Health and Educational Fair May 20, 2014 Special Called Meeting of the CCPD Board. V.Written Reports A.FY 2014 Second Quarter Program Report There were no questions or discussion on this item. VI.Action Items A.Discussion and Consideration of the FY 2015 Budget in the Amount of$62,125,285.00 a. Report of City Staff— Shallah Graham, Assistant Police Director presented the FY 2015 proposed budget. The projected FY 2015 Revenue is $62,125,285. The main component is sales tax at$57,466,504. She discussed the proposed 2015 budget for the CCPD program areas providing totals and details. Enhanced Enforcement $16,726,407 Neighborhood Crime Prevention $11,808,749 Partners with a Shared Mission $ 4,408,172 Recruitment and Training $ 3,863,778 Equipment, Technology and Infrastructure $25,479,187 Salary Savings from Vacancies ($439,848) Total $62,046,445 Improvement Package for FY 2015 Technology Project Coordinator $78,840 Total $62,125,285 The FY 2015 Proposed Budget as presented is balanced. The FY 2015 Proposed Budget projects the Fund Balance at September 30, 2015 to be $21,637,146, which is $1,349,209, less than the target of 37% ($22,986,355). b. Action Motion was made by Director Zimmerman and second by Director Scarth to close the Public hearing. Motion carried 9-0. VII.Citizen Comments Lance Griggs addressed the Board regarding the need for a Far North Police Division. Camille Drinan thanked city staff for all their work on getting out the information on CCPD at the informational public meetings. She also thanked the Code Blue Strategic Planning Committees for their work. IX.Board Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports Timeline for the academies—will be at Pre Council Fort Worth education campaign for driving safety Recruiting in Stop Six or other high crime areas X.Adjourn With no further presentations or discussions, President Price adjourned the meeting of the Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention Board of Directors at 6:38 p.m., on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
