Call to Order With a quorum of the board members present, President Price called the meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District Board (CCPD) of Directors to order at 5:30 p.m., on Thursday, August 25, 2016, in the Pre-Council Chamber of the Fort Worth Municipal Building, 1000 Throckmorton, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. 1V. Approval of Meeting Minutes from May 19, 2016 Regular Meeting and August 16, 2016 Special Called Meeting Motion was made by Director Bivens and seconded by Director Zadeh to approve the minutes of the May 19, 2016 regular meeting and the August 16, 2016, Special Called Meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District Board of Directors. The motion carried 9-0, III. Written Reports A. 3,d Quarter Report B. FY 2017 Community Based Program Proposal Funding Recommendations There were no questions on the written reports. IV. Upcoming Events Assistant City Manager Valerie Washington advised of the following upcoming events: ➢ September 9—Caville Open House—"StoreFront Apartment"—9:00 am ➢ September 17 — 3 d Annual Unity in the Community March and Rally @ True Vine Missionary Baptist Church— 3732 Miller Ave. — 8:00 pm ➢ October 4 —National Night Out Events throughout the City beginning @ 5;00 pm ➢ October 6-7—Bike Support Group Annual Shoot for the Blue CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS AUGUST 25,2016 Page 2 of 3 V. Action Items A. Public Hearing and Adoption of the FY 2017 Community Based Program Funding Melissa Ramon briefed the Board on the recommendations for the FY 2017 Community Based Programs: Program Name Agency Name Amount Recommended Second Opportunity for Success Lena Pope $50,000.00 Diamond Girls YMCA of Metropolitan $21,477.75 Fort Worth Play it Safe! There being no one to be heard on this item motion was made by Director Jordan and second by Director Zimmerman to close the public hearing. Motion passed 9-0. Motion was made by Director Bivens and second by Director Shingleton to approve the funding as presented. Notion passed 9-0. B. Public Hearing and Adoption of the FY 2017 CCPD Budget Ms. Ramon highlighted two adjustments that were made to the budget that was presented on August 16th. An additional $9,000 to Enhanced Enforcement or Near Eastside and an additional $66,423 to the Jail Cost Allocation. There was an adjustment of$3,795 to revenues in Sale of Capital Asset. Ms. Ramon highlighted the total revenues of $72,714,144 and expenditures of $74,884,251. There is an increase of 55.5 positions. Enhanced Enforcement has a budget of $20,756,383: Neighborhood Crime prevention has a budget of$15,433,400; Partners with a Shared Vision has a budget of$4,654,321; Recruitment and Training has a budget of$8,127,096 and Equipment, Technology and Infrastructure has a budget of$26,800,820. Motion passed 9-0. Motion was made by Director Zimmerman and second by Director Moon to approve the budget as presented. Notion passed 9-0. VII. Citizen Comments There were no Citizens Comments VIII. Board Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports Director Jordan requested a briefing on the Police Athletic League (PAL)program. Director Bivens requested information on neighborhoods putting up Neighborhood Watch signs. Director Zimmerman requested a briefing on CCPD and what it can and cannot do. Director Moon requested a briefing on other revenue sources in the CCPD budget. Director Allen Gray asked for a briefing on the funds seized from gam rooms. IX. Adjourn With no further presentations or discussions, President Price adjourned the meeting of the Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention Board of Directors at 5:48 p.m., on Thursday, August 25, 2016.
