Kayser, Secretary to the Board I. Call to Order With a quorum of the board members present, President Price called the meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District Board (CCPD) of Directors to order at 5:34 p.m., on Thursday, February 16, 2017, in the City Council Conference Room 290, Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas. IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes from August 25, 2016, Regular Meeting Motion was made by Director Shingleton and seconded by Director Bivens to approve the minutes of the August 25, 2016, regular meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District Board of Directors. The motion carried 7- (Zimmerman and Allen Gray absent), III. Written Reports A. FY 2017 1St Quarter Program Report There were no questions on the 1St Quarter Program Report. IV. Upcoming Events February 27, 2017, Sixth Patrol Division Groundbreaking April 1, 2017, Code Blue Luncheon April 14, 2017, Class 141 Graduation CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS FEBRUARY 16, 2017 Page 2 of 3 V. Staff Presentations/Discussion Items A. Presentation of Use of CCPD Funds (Denis McElroy) This presentation will be given at the next CCPD meeting. B. FY 2018 Community Based Program Process (Sasha Kane) Ms. Kane provided the process, eligibility and timeline for the FY 2018 Community Based Programs. C. Overview of Miscellaneous CCPD Revenue Sources (Christianne Kellett) Ms. Kellett provided an overview of what makes up the CCPD revenue sources other than sales tax and the School Security Initiative Reimbursement. The board requested a more in depth presentation on the seized funds and the impact of currently proposed legislation. D. Posting of Crime Watch Signs by Neighborhood Groups (Captain K.D. Rowell) Captain Rowell provided information on how neighborhoods can become Crime Watch Groups and get the official signs posted. E. Sixth Patrol Division Update (Asst. Chief Ken Dean, Steve Cooke) Asst. Chief Dean reviewed the purpose of the Sixth Patrol Division Facility and reviewed its location. Mr. Cooke reviewed the timeline with the next event to be the groundbreaking on February 27, 2017, construction to begin in March 2017, with move in proposed for Early 2018. F. CCPD 2017 Meeting Schedule (Denis McElroy) Mr. McElroy reviewed the CCPD actions related to the City budget process. The proposed CCPD meetings to meet these deadlines are: Thursday, May 18, 2017, quarterly meeting Tuesday August 29,2017, special called meeting to hold a public hearing and adopt the budget Thursday, September 7, 2017, (if needed to adopt the budget) Thursday,November 16, 2017, quarterly meeting VI. Citizen Comments Naomi Dillard addressed the board about the School Initiative Officers not having radar and not being able to do anything about speeding around schools. VIII. Board Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports School Initiative Office duties. Seized fund update. Parking around schools Walking to school-can it be encouraged. IX. Adiourn With no further presentations or discussions, President Price adjourned the meeting of the Fort Worth Crime Control and Prevention Board of Directors at 6:13 p.m., on Thursday, February 16, 2017.
