HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1496:Y __ a' .h -i*\ ~. r ~ resolution WHEREAS, on January 2, .1990, the City Council of the City of Fort worth received a Petition for Establishment of the Fort Worth Improvement District No. 3; and WHEREAS, the City Council directed the City Manager and City Attorney to determine whether the Petition includes the necessary signatures and meets other requirements of Chapter 372, Subchapter A, Section 372.005 of the Local Government Code (the "Public improvement District Assessment Act"); and WHEREAS, the -City Manager and City Attorney reported that the Petition includes the signatures of the owners of 50.11 percent of the area of all taxable real property that is liable for assessment under the proposal and the signatures of the owners of taxable real property repre- senting 55.58 percent of the appraised value of the taxable real property liable for assessment under the proposal, within the area of the proposed public improve- ment district, as determined by the current roll of the Tarrant Appraisal District; and iv'HEREAS, the City Manager and City Attorney reported that the Petition contains sufficient signatures and meets other applicable requirements of Chapter 372, Subchapter A of the Local Government Code; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY_ OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: 1. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the aforesaid Petition for Establishment of the Fort Worth Improvement District No. 3 includes sufficient signatures and meets other requirements of Section 372.005 of the Local Government Code. 2.
