HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 4957-06-2018 A Resolution NO. 4957-06-2018 APPROVING RAISES FOR POSITIONS OF CITY MANAGER, CITY SECRETARY, CITY ATTORNEY AND CITY AUDITOR AND ESTABILISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Fort Worth Reserves to the City Council the authority to appoint and prescribe compensation for the position of City Manager, City Secretary, City Attorney and City Auditor; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the adopted budget for Fiscal Year 2017, the City Council wishes to implement a corresponding pay raise for those positions for which the Council prescribes compensation under the City Charter. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: 1. That the City Council directs the City Manager to implement all changes and take all necessary actions to provide an on-going three percent (3%) increase for the following positions: City Attorney and City Secretary. 2. That the City Council directs the City Manager to implement all changes and take all necessary actions to provide an on-going four percent (4%) increase for the City Manager position that also reflects the need to address market competitiveness of the this position. 3. That the City Council directs the City Manager to implement all changes and take all necessary actions to provide an on-going five percent (5%) increase for the City Auditor position that also reflects the need to address market competitiveness of the this position. 4. That the effective date for such increases will be December 26, 2017 to co- inside with the annual pay raises that were received by General employees. 5.
