AN ORDINANCE INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $103,433.31
AND RECEIPTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $103,433.31 IN THE STREET REHABILITATION
FUND, TO FACILITATE THE BALANCING AND CLOSEOUT OF LEGACY
TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING
THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased appropriations in the amount of$103,433.31 and
receipts in the amount of$103,433.31 in the Street Rehabilitation Fund,to facilitate the balancing and closeout
of Legacy Transportation projects.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void
for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair
the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall
be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance 22928-09-2017 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of
said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

and Receipts in the Collective Amount of$187,691.30 in Various Funds to Facilitate Balancing and
Closeout of Legacy Transportation Projects (ALL COUNCIL DISTRICTS )
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached ordinance increasing appropriations in the amount of$3,681,923.77 and receipts in
the amount of$502.40 in the Street Improvements Fund (39403);
2. Adopt the attached ordinance increasing appropriations in the amount of$42,741.08 and receipts in
the amount of$41,602.95 in the Street Improvements 2008 Fund (39407);
3. Adopt the attached ordinance increasing appropriations in the amount of$103,433.31 and receipts in
the amount of$103,433.31 in the Street Rehabilitation Fund (39408); and
4. Adopt the attached ordinance increasing appropriations in the amount of$3,565.93 and receipts in the
amount of$42,152.64 in the Street Improvements Close Fund (39409).
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this Mayor and Council Communication (M&C) is to take actions associated with
reconciling, balancing, and closing completed projects from four Transportation and Public Works funds;
Street Improvements (39403), Street Improvements 2008 (39407), Street Rehabilitation (39408), and
Street Improvements Close (39409) Funds. A fund level summary of the corrections needed follows:

This action reflects to on-going effort since go-live of PeopleSoft to restructure and reconcile old capital
projects. This action does not require the addition of new funds; rather it ensures that receipts and
appropriations are properly recorded so the funds may be closed.
Attachment-A provides a project level summary of the corrections needed to balance and close these
projects.
This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION /CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that funds are available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, of
the Street Improvements (39403), Street Improvements 2008 (39407), Street Rehabilitation (39408), and
Street Improvements Close Fund (39409).
