RE: City of Fort Worth Water Department Water and Wastewater Installation Policy and
Design Criteria Update
City Secretary Contract#49554
Amendment#1-Additional Services Request
Kimley-Horn No. 069018999
Dear Wendy:
Throughout this project, there have been multiple items requiring additional services that were not
previously identified in the original contract. We are requesting your consideration to amend our
contract to allow for additional services related to additional City review meetings, Urban Infill and
Shared Access Easements, and additional Development Advisory Committee (DAC)meetings.
City Review Meetings
The original contract included provisions for up to 2 meetings with the City to review each section.
Due to the significant number of changes proposed and discussed in the Water,Wastewater, Policy,
and Easement sections, multiple meetings, and subsequent revisions, have occurred for each of
these sections.
Urban Infill and Shared Access Easements
The original contract included provisions for updating the easement requirements associated with the
existing policy documents. Due to on-going DAC Urban Infill Sub-Committee meetings related to
special easement requirements, Kimley-Horn developed multiple exhibits and attended various DAC
sub-committee meetings with, and on behalf of,the Water Department to discuss easement
requirements for easements within Urban Infill areas and Shared Access developments. These
services were not included in the original scope of services.
DAC Review Meetings
The original contract included provisions for up to 3 meetings with the City to review revised sections
of the updated documents with DAC. Due to the structure and detail associated with these meetings
up to 8 meetings are anticipated. In addition, 2 presentations are anticipated to full DAC for approval.
