With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth City
Council Work Session to order at 4:04 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, in City Council
Conference Room 290 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager—David Cooke, City Manager
a. Changes to the City Council Agenda
There were no changes to the agenda.
b. Upcoming and Recent Events
Greg Simmons, TPW Stormwater, provided a recap of the flooding issues from the week of
September 2nd—8d', 2018.
c. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s)
Council Member Allen Gray recognized Park Department employees for their hard work in
getting Evans Avenue and Evans Plaza ready for the unveiling of a historical marker.
d. Informal Reports
1. IR 10182: Proposed Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Ordinance Amendments to
Improve Multifamily Family Design Standards

2. Current Agenda Items - City Council Members
Assistant City Manager, Jay Chapa, addressed questions from Council on M&C P-12251, the
towing contract M&C.
3. Responses to Items Continued from a Previous Week
There were no items continued from the previous Council Meeting.
4. Overview of Significant Zoning Cases — Dana Burghdoff, Planning and
Development Department
Ms. Dana Burghdoff, Planning and Development Department, reviewed the significant zoning
cases.
5. _Presentation on Park Hours and Lighting - Richard Zavala, Park and Recreation
Department
Mr. Richard Zavala, Park and Recreation Department, provided a review of the current Park
hours and lighting.
6. Budget Responses
a. Transit Study Update- Susan Alanis,City Manager's Office
Assistant City Manager Susan Alanis, City Manager's Office, gave an update on the actions to
date on the activities related to the transit study approved by Council on August 7, 2018.
b. Other Budget Items
There were no other budget items for discussion.
7. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Council Member Bivens — Process to be used by developers when they want to cut down trees
and if they are fined how is that money distributed and can it be distributed in the Council
District.
Council Member Moon—what Tarrant County is charging Fort Worth for tax collection.
