Lancaster Avenue between Ayers Avenue and Hughes Avenue and along Oakland Boulevard between Panola Avenue and the extension of Norma Street. The attached PowerPoint demonstrates the future land use as outlined in the 2007 Comprehensive Plan, the current zoning, and the proposed zoning. Council Member Kathleen Hicks has expressed interest in the rezoning of this area to MU-1 Low Intensity Mixed-Use, in accordance with the Urban Village designation. The City of Fort Worth held an informational meeting on July 18, 2007, that was attended by Councilmember Hicks, approximately 10 property owners, and staff. At this meeting, the property owners expressed support for the proposed zoning changes. Public hearings on the rezoning of these properties would be held at the Zoning Commission meeting on October 10 and the City Council meeting of November 6.
