With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth City
Council Work Session to order at 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, in City Council
Conference Room 290 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager—David Cooke, City Manager
a. Changes to the City Council Agenda
M&C L-16154 will be withdrawn from the consent agenda and continued to November 13, 2018.
b. Upcoming and Recent Events
MLK on Main Street International Heritage Celebration at General Worth Square on Monday,
October 22, 201 at noon.
c. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s)
Assistant City Manager Valerie Wahsington introduced the new Fire Chief, James Davis.
Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald recognized multiple officers who were involved in apprehension of
3 robbery suspects that had fled into Polytechnic High School.

4. Overview of Significant Zoning Cases — Dana Burghdoff, Planning and
Development Department
Ms. Dana Burghdoff, Planning and Development Department, reviewed the significant zoning
cases.
5. Briefing on the Proposed Trinity River Strategic Master Plan - Stacey Pierce,
Streams and Valleys
Ms. Stacey Pierce, Streams and Valleys, presented an over view of the Trinity River Strategic
Master Plan, Confluence.
6. _Presentation of the Public Art Plan for the 2018 Bond Program and Fiscal Year
2019 Annual Work Plan - Martha Peters,Arts Council of Fort Worth
Ms. Martha Peters, Arts Council of Fort Worth, presented the Public Art Plan for the 2018 Bond
Program and the Fiscal Year 2019 Annual Work Plan.
7. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Council Member Moon—Expiditing of plats to get the developments on the books sooner and a
report on property tax exemptions and are they being applied correctly.
Council Member Flores —report on what can be done about unreasonably long train delays and a
report from PD on the follow up on the defamatory banners and fliers.

There being no further business, Mayor Price adjourned the City Council Work Session at
4:03 p. m.
