HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1294 CITY COUNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 22, 1987 Council Met A11 members present Invocation Pledge of Allegiance Approved minutes of 12-18-87 Honorary Citizenship to Niels Bodo Cremer Presented poster for PRCA State Finals Rodeo 12-30-87 - 1.-2-88 Appointed Antonette Booker to Racetrack Development Policy Advisory Committee Approved liability bonds pted Resolution 1294 releasing 0,000 00 Federal ional Mortgage ociation 1.1 55% IP No 313586PV5 Introduced a resolution On the 22nd day of December, A 0 , 1987, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, met in regular session, with the following members and officers present, to-wit Mayor Bob Bolen, Mayor Pro tempore Bert C Williams Council Members Louis J Zapata, William N Garrison, Russell Lancaster, Garey W Gilley, Steve Murrin, Jr , Virginia Nell Webber, and Estil Vance, Jr City Manager Douglas Harman, City Attorney Wade Adkins City Secretary Ruth Howard with more than a quorum present, at which time the following business was transacted The invocation was given by Or Sam Auslam of Tarrant Area Community of Churches The Pledge of Allegiance was recited On motion of Mayor Pro tempore Williams, seconded by Council Member Lancaster, the minutes of the meeting of December 18, 1987, were approved A honorary citizenship certificate was presented to Niels Bodo Cremer (Exchange Student) of Hildesheim, West Germany A special presentation of the poster for PRCH State Farmer's Radio, December 30, 1987, through January 2, 1988, was made designating Texas Championship Week in Fort Worth Council Member Webber nominated Antonette Booker for membership on the Racetrack Development Policy Advisory Committee and made a motion, seconded by Council Member Gilley, that Ms Booker be appointed to the Racetrack Development Policy Advisory Committee When the motion was put to a vote by the Mayor, it prevailed unanimously There is a consensus on the City Council that the following bonds be approved CEMENT BONDS JBM Builders, Inc rucimnnirr rmmnnnrv United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company Brooks Contractors, Inc Western Surety Company Newport Concrete Construction Company Western Surety Company Tompkins Concrete Construction Universal Surety of America CONTRACTOR'S BONDS P M A Concrete Western Surety Company Riley Electric Service and Western Surety Company Engineering Company Dustrol, Inc Reliance Insurance Company Plano Bridge and Culvert Seaboard Surety Company Grady Crawford Construction Company Fidelity and Deposit Company of Inc , of Baton Rouge Maryland ITINERANT VENDORS BONDS Steve Reid dba Austin Brooks Company Western Surety Company Kay's Gifts and Plants Western Surety Company There was presented correspondence from Alta Mesa National Bank requesting the release of $250,000 00 Federal National Mortgage Association, CUSIP No 313586PV5 through the adoption of a resolution and requesting the substitution of $500,000 00 Federal Home Land Banks 8 8 FHLB 92M, CUSIP No 313388SK7, Receipt No 863525, maturing 11-25-92, pledged to secure City of Fort Worth deposits and held in safekeeping at First Republic Bank Fort Worth Council Member Garrison introduced an resolution and made a motion that it be adopted The motion was seconded by Council Member Murrin The motion, carrying with it the adoption of said resolution, prevailed by the following vote AYES Mayor Bolen;
