HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1158A Resolution Adapted Resolubon M--- WHEREAS, by M&C C-8431, dated June 12, 1984, John P. Camp was retained to represent the City of Fort Worth in the case of Lois Diana Penderg_raft et al v. City of Fort Worth, No. 153-68790-81, and WHEREAS, the Pendergraft case is likely to be set for trial in the very near future and is a matter of extraordinary importance, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to retain outside counsel to represent the City in this lawsuit, and WHEREAS, Grant Liser possesses knowledge and expertise in workers' compensation law and has agreed to represent the City in this matter, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1. That Grant Liser be retained as outside counsel, pursuant to Section 3, Chapter VI of the City Charter, to represent the City in the pending lawsuit by Lois Diana Pendergraft. SECTION 2. That, as far as practicable, the compensation to be paid Grant Liser for his services be fixed in an amount not to exceed $15,000. S, WHEREAS, Mr. Camp has advised the City that because of the great number of other pending matters which he is presently handling that he can no longer represent the City in this matter, and Adopted this day of June, 1986.
