JOINT RESOLUTION AND AGREEMENT NO..,
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS
COUNTY OF TARRANT §
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth is a home rule City lying and being situated
within the confines of the County of Tarrant, State of Texas, and
WHEREAS, the City of Arlington is a home rule City lying and being situated
within the confines of the County of Tarrant, State of Texas, and
-? WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth and the City of Arlington desire to adjust their
boundary lines to facilitate the development and maintenance of property within
their respective jurisdictions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND MUTUALLY AGREED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARLINGTON'

That the following boundary realignment between the City of Fort Worth and the
City of Arlington, as hereafter described, is in the best interests of the
property owners and inhabitants of both cities and that the City of Fort Worth
and the City of Arlington will proceed with due diligence in adopting the
' necessary disannexation and annexation ordinances adjusting their respective
corporate boundaries and all other proceedings necessary to effectuate this
agreement.

That the City of Fort Worth and the City of Arlington do hereby covenant and
agree to protect, preserve and defend the hereinafter described boundary
realignment.

That the City of Fort Worth hereby agrees to discontinue from its corporate
boundary and to release all its jurisdictional rights it may have in and to all
territories embraced within the area shown on map Exhibit "A", attached hereto
and made a part hereof, and described by metes and bounds as follows-
BEING a 0.3752 acres of land in the David Strickland Survey, Abstract
No. 1376, situated in the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas
and being a portion of that certain 0.209 acre tract of land as
described in deed to Texas Electric Service Company as recorded in
Volume 4506, Page 724 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas and
also being a portion of that certain 22.400 acre tract of land as
described in deed to Enchanted Bay Section Four Joint Venture, as
recorded in Volume 8104, Page 473 of the Deed Records of Tarrant
County, Texas and being more particularly described as follows-
BEGINNING at a Texas Electric Service monument found at the northwest
corner of said 0.209 acre tract and being the southwest corner of said
Enchanted Bay Section Four Joint Venture 22.400 acre tract.
THENCE N 01°00'27" E along the westerly line of said Enchanted Bay
Section Four Joint Venture 22 400 acre tract 160.00 feet,
THENCE S 88°59'33" E, 70.00 feet,
THENCE S 01°00'27" W at 158.79 feet passing the southerly line of said
Enchanted Bay Section Four Joint Venture 22.40 acre tract and
northerly line of said 0.209 acre tract and continuing in, all 217 41
feet to the southerly line of said 0.209 acre tract,
THENCE S 66°34'43" W along the the southerly line of said Texas
Electric Service Company 0.209 acre tract 41 20 feet,
THENCE S 65°30'12" W, continuing along the southerly line of said
Texas Electric Service Company 0.209 acre tract 36.00 feet;

THENCE N 01000'27" E along the westerly line of said 0.209 acre tract,
89 95 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 16,344 square feet
or 0.3752 acres of land.

That the City of Arlington hereby agrees to annex the property disannexed by the
City of Fort Worth as described herein and shown on map Exhibit "A", and the
City of Arlington agrees to assume the rights and obligations appurtenant to
said property.

That these terms and conditions set forth shall become effective and binding on
Fort Worth and Arlington by the adoption of this Joint Resolution and Agreement
in regular open City Council meetings of the City of Fort Worth and the City of
Arlington, and that this Joint Resolution and,Agreement, upon adoption of both
cities, shall be executed in several originals and shall be spread in full on
the minutes of each city. A copy of this Joint Resolution and Agreement shall
be executed by the Mayor and attested by the City Secretary of each city.
