RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
TO BE HELD IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS AT
THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING IN THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS, ON OCTOBER 15, 1985, AT 10:00
A.M., FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE
PROPOSED CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS TO ORDINANCE
NO. 3011, AS AMENDED, WHICH IS THE COMPRE-
HENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY, AND
PROVIDING THAT SAID HEARING MAY CONTINUE
FROM DAY TO DAY UNTIL EVERY INTERESTED PARTY
AND CITIZEN HAS HAD A FULL OPPORTUNITY TO BE
HEARD.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF -THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
That at 10:00 O'clock A.M., Tuesday, October 15, 1985, the City
Council of the City of Fort Worth, which is the legislative body
40 of said City, will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers
at the Municipal. Building for the purpose of considering changes
and amendments to Ordinance No. 301 1 , as amended, the Comprehen-
sive Zoning Ordinance of said City. The purpose of said hearing
is to determine whether or not said Ordinance No. 3011, as
amended, should be amended so that the zoning classification of
the following areas shall be changed as hereinafter described:
Z-85-065 TEXT AMENDMENT:
Amending Ordinance No. 3011, the Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Fort Worth, codified as
Appendix "A" of the Code of the City of Fort Worth
(1964), as amended, by amending Section 20, Paragraph
D, to require the erection of a sign prior to any
public hearing before the Board of Adjustment on
Special Exception use applications.

JOHN HEATH SURVEY, Abstract No. 641, Tarrant County,
Texas and being a portion of that certain 198.349 acre
tract of land conveyed to The Hills Joint Venture III
by the deed recorded in Volume 8040, Page 1192, Deed
Records, Tarrant County, Texas (D. R. , T. Co . , Tx.), and
being more particularly described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BEGINNING at a 5/8 inch steel rod set in the line
common to said 198.349 acre tract and the residue of
that certain tract conveyed to Oakmont Joint Venture
under "Tract 1" in the deed recorded in Volume 5722,
Page 193, D.R., T.Co., Tx., at its intersection with
the East line of the 120 foot wide right-of-way (R/W)
for Bryant Irvin Road, according to the plat recorded
in Volume 388-187, Pages 85 and 86, Plat Records of
Tarrant County, Texas, said point being South 89
degrees 57 minutes 18 seconds East 383-4/10 feet along
said common line from a smooth 7/8 inch diameter steel
rod found marking the Southwest corner of said 198.349
acre tract and a reentrant corner of said Oakmont
Joint Venture tract;
THENCE departing said common line with the East R/W
line of Bryant Irvin Road North 28 degrees 12 minutes
56 seconds East 630-40/100 feet to a 5/8 inch steel
rod set at the beginning of a curve to the left having
a radius of 4060-00/100 feet;
THENCE continuing Northerly with said East R/W line
and the arc of said curve to the left 725-24/100 feet
to its intersection with the South line of the R/W for
Oak Bend Trail, according to the above mentioned plat;
THENCE with said South R/W line Easterly with the arc
of a curve to the left having a radius of 1140-0/10
feet and a long chord that bears South 85 degrees 28
minutes 56 seconds East 345-21/100 feet, an arc dis-
tance of 346-54/100 feet to a 5/8 inch steel rod set
at a point of reverse curvature;
THENCE continuing Easterly with said South R/W line

radius of 1100-00/100 feet an arc distance of 80-
53/100 feet to its point of tangency;
THENCE continuing with said South R/W line South 89
degrees 59 minutes 46 seconds East 80-90/100 feet to a
5/8 inch steel rod set for corner;
THENCE South 00 degrees 00 minutes 14 seconds West
1219-91/100 feet to a steel rod set in the curved
North line of the 120 foot wide R/W for Oakmont Drive;
THENCE with said North R/W line Southwesterly with the
arc of a curve to the left having a radius of 1460-
0/10 feet, a long chord that bears South 64 degrees 42
minutes 04 seconds West 312-58/100 feet; and an arc
length of 313-18/100 feet to a steel rod set at its
point of tangency;
THENCE continuing with said North R/W line South 58
degrees 33 minutes 22 seconds West 111-38/100 feet to

THENCE with said common line North 00 degrees 04
minutes 26 seconds East 213-57/100 feet to a steel rod
at a Northeast corner of said Oakmont tract and a
reentrant corner of the 198.349 acre tract;
THENCE continuing with said common line North 89
degrees 57 minutes 18 seconds West 710-25/100 feet to
the point of beginning, containing in all some 22.371
acres of land (974,500 square feet).

Z-85-224 ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT:
An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3011, as amended,
the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, codified as
Appendix "A" of the Code of the City of Fort Worth
(1964), as amended, by permitting the continued use of
downward shielded lights on billboards erected prior
to the effective date of this ordinance; providing
that this ordinance shall be cumulative of all ordi-
nances; providing a severability clause; providing a
penal clause; providing a savings clause; providing
for publication in pamphlet form; providing for en-
grossment and enrollment; providing for publication of
this ordinance in the official newspaper; and provid-
ing an effective date.
Recommended approval
That the proposed amendments and changes and this hearing will
be held in accordance with the provisions of Articles 1011a-
1011k of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution, when published in
the official newspaper of the City of Fort Worth, which is a
paper of general circulation, one (1) time, shall constitute a
notice of hearing, which publication shall be made at least
fifteen (15) days prior to such hearing, and all interested
parties are urgently requested to be in the Council Chambers at
the Municipal Building at the time hereinabove set forth to make
any protest or suggestion that may occur to them, and this hear-
ing may continue from day to day until every interested party
and citizen has had a full opportunity to be heard.
