A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
TO BE HELD IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS AT
THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING IN THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS, ON DECEMBER 17, 1985, AT 10:00
A.M., FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE
PROPOSED CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS TO ORDINANCE
NO. 3011, AS AMENDED, WHICH IS THE COMPRE-
HENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY, AND
PROVIDING THAT SAID HEARING MAY CONTINUE
FROM DAY TO DAY UNTIL EVERY INTERESTED PARTY
AND CITIZEN HAS HAD A FULL OPPORTUNITY TO BE
HEARD.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
That at 10:00 O'clock A.M., Tuesday, December 17, 1985, the City
Council of the City of Fort Worth, which is the legislative body
of said City, will hold a public hearing in the Council Chambers
at the Municipal Building for the purpose of considering changes
and amendments to Ordinance No. 3011, as amended, the Comprehen-
sive Zoning Ordinance of said City. The purpose of said hearing
is to determine whether or not said Ordinance No. 3011, as
amended, should be amended so that the zoning classification of
the following areas shall be changed as hereinafter described:
Z-85-209 SITUATED in the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County,
Texas, and being a tract of land out of the WILLIAM
WELCH SURVEY, Abstract No. 1668, and being all that
certain tract of land conveyed to James Dan Thornton
and wife, Elaine Thornton, by deed recorded in Volume
5473, Page 461, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas,
and a portion of that certain tract of land conveyed
to W. D. Thornton and wife, Gartrelle S. Thornton, by
deed recorded in Volume 5590, Page 789, Deed Records
of Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod at a fence corner at the
Southwest corner of said James Thornton tract;
THENCE North 01' 07' 22" West along a fence in the
West line of said James Thornton tract, at 434.59 feet
passing an iron rod at a fence corner in the Southerly

An ordinance amending ordinance No. 3011, as amended,
the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, codified as Appendix "A" of the Code of
the City of Fort Worth (1964), as amended, by amending
Section 9A, "F-R" Restricted Commercial District, by
allowing newspaper distribution centers not exceeding
20,000 square feet as a use therein; providing that
this ordinance shall be cumulative; providing a sever-
ability clause; providing for a.penalty; providing for
engrossment and enrollment; providing for publication
in pamphlet form; providing for publication in the
official newspaper; and providing an effective date.

An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3011, as amended,
the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Fort
Worth, Texas, codified as Appendix "A" of the Code of
the City of Fort Worth (1964), as amended, providing
that no building permit, certificate of occupancy or
other permit shall be issued, nor use made of prop-
erty, which is unzoned or unplatted in the City of
Fort Worth; providing that all land not properly des-
ignated by some other zoning category shall be deemed
zoned "AG" Agricultural.
Recommended Approval
That the proposed amendments and changes and this hearing will
be held in accordance with the provisions of Articles 1011a-
1011k of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution, when published in
the official newspaper of the City of Fort Worth, which is a
paper of general circulation, one (1) time, shall constitute a
