Establishing the Propositions for the 1986-88
Capital Improvement Program and Setting the
Election Date
WHEREAS, the maintenance of the exceptional quality of life
experienced by all citizens in this community and the continued vitality and
favorable growth of the City of Fort Worth is important; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth has numerous public facilities and
infrastructure projects in critical need of improvement, and the City has also
experienced considerable growth necessitating provision of comparable public
services to citizens in all areas of the City; and
WHEREAS, for some time, extensive efforts have been underway to
develop a balanced and comprehensive bond propram which is necessary to
address many of these community needs; and
WHEREAS, these efforts have included extensive City-wide citizen
input in identifying and prioritizing public projects in need of repair and,
as a result, those needs expressed by the citizens have been appropriately
reflected in the
??- proposed bond program; and
WHEREAS, this bond proposal is a continuation of the City's practice
of sound, deliberate, and progressive action in responding to public
priorities and these improvements will contribute to the betterment of Fort
Worth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS that a Bond Election will be held on March 22, 1986 for the
citizens to consider the following propositions

STREETS AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSITION
PARK AND RECREATION IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSITION
LIBRARY IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSITION
PUBLIC SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSITION
WILL ROGERS MEMORIAL COMPLEX PROPOSITION
HERITAGE TRAIL DEVELOPMENT PROPOSITION
TOTAL ALL PROPOSITIONS
