RE: Alliance Airport Runway Extension Project - Phase IV Rail Design
Contract Amendment No. 2— Rail
Dear Mr. Ward:
The Carter & Burgess contract for the Aliiance Runway Extension Project — Phase IV included
scope of work and budget for the design of the relocation of the mainline track of the BNSF
Railroad. The design of this portion of the project was put on hold after BNSF withdrew their
support for the relocation of the mainline through the Intermodal Yard.
There is $744,265 remaining in C&B's contract for design of the rail relocation. Carter &
Burgess understands that the City of Fort Worth is facing a"short fall" in the funding of FM 156
Construction and has requested that any available FAA grant funds be re-programmed for the
FM 156 project.
Therefore, Carter & Burgess has prepared a contract modification to the Alliance Runway
Extension Project — Phase IV that deletes the remaining scope of work and budget for rail
design. This results in a revised contract amount of $2,114,319.66.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
TXt
