AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. 33749
CITY OF FORT WORTH AND CAMP FIRE USA FIRST TEXAS COUNCIL
THIS AMENDMENT NO 1 is made and entered by and between the CITY OF FORT
WORTH, a home rule municipal corporation of the State of Texas located within Tarrant, Denton,
and Wise Counties, Texas (hereinafter referred to as "City") acting by and through its duly authorized
Assistant City Manager, and CAMP FIRE USA FIRST TEXAS COUNCIL (hereinafter referred to
as "Subcontractor").
WHEREAS, on or about December 29, 2005, the City entered into City Secretary Contract
("CSC") No. 33032 (the "Original Agreement") with Tarrant County Local Warkforce
Development Board (the "Board") to serve as project manager for the Early Learning Opportunities
Act Grant (the "Grant") to provide early learning opportunity services through neighborhood early
literacy hubs. The Original Agreement is a public document on file with the City's Secretary; and
WHEREAS, in order to effectively administer the program, the City and Subcontractor entered
into CSC No. 33749, (the "Subcontract") an agreement to provide a portion of the services as
required by the Original Agreement. The Subcontract is subject to all terms and conditions of the
Original Agreement as it applies to subcontractors that receive funds thereunder; and
WHEREAS, the Original Agreement has been amended to extend the term, revise the contract
budget, and revise the Statement of Work; and
WHEREAS, City and Subcontractor hereby wish to amend this Subcontract to be consistent
with the changes to the Original Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, and in consideration of the mutual covenants, promises and agreements
contained herein, the City and Subcontractor hereby agree to amend the Subcontract as follows:
1.
Section 2 Compensation of the Subcontract shall be amended to read as follows:
The Subcontractor's compensation under this agreement shall not exceed 110, 680.00.
2.
Section 3 Term of the Subcontract shall be amended to read as follows:
The term of this Agreement shall commence on March 1, 2007 and expire on August 31, 2007 unless
terminated earlier as herein provided. In the case of an extension of the grant or the Original
agreement, the term shall be extended until the ending date far the grant period.

3.
Section 10 Miscellaneous of the Subcontract shall be amended to add the following:
M. The terms and conditions of Amendment No. 1 to CSC No. 33032 are hereby incorporated herein
by reference and made a part of this Agreement for all purposes.
4.
All of the terms and provisions of the Subcontract between the City and the
Subcontractor shall remain in full force and effect except as specifically amended herein.
