WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth ("City") and Teague Nall and Perkins ("Consultant")
made and entered into City of Fort Worth City Secretary Contract No. 33778, ("Contract") which
was authorized per City Council action on July 11, 2006, Refei•ence No. C-21557; and
WHEREAS, the Contract involves professional services for the following project:
Nature Center Improvement Plans — Restoration Conce�t Drawings for
Broadview Parlc CCC Site
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the Contract to include an increased scope
of work and/or revised maximum fee.
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Consultant, acting herein by and through their
duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the contract:
1.
Article I, Section A of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering
services identified on Attachment B-1, dated April 6, 2007, a copy of which is attached hereto
and incorporated herein.
2.
Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee in
the amount of $ 5,200.00, which is to be paid to Consultant for all worlc and services under the
Contract, as amended, so that the total fee to be paid by City for all work and services shall not
exceed the sum of $ 66,000.00.
3.
All other provisions of the Contract that are not expressly amended herein shall remain in
full force and effect.

AUTHORIZATION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge (the CLIENT) hereby requests and authorizes Teague Nall and
Perkins, Inc., (the CONSULTANT) to perform the following services:
Article I
SCOPE OF BASIC SERVICES:
Phase 1- Concept drawing development for fund raising purposes. See page 2 Scope of Services for more
detail.
Phase 2— Design development and construction drawings. A detailed scope of work for this phase shall be
determined after completion of Phase 1 services.
Phase 3— Construction administration services. A detailed scope of work for this phase shall be determined
after completion of Phase 2 services.
Article II
COMPENSATION to be on a basis of the following:
1. BASIC SERVICES: The CLIENT agrees to pay the CONSULTANT a fixed fee of $5,200 for
Phase 1 Basic Services as outlined above. Phase 2 and Phase 3 scopes and fees shall be
determined after completion of Phase 1 Services and incorporated by amendment to this
contract. Basic Services shall be billed upon completion.
Article III
SCHEDULE: The proposed Phase 1 services shall be completed within 45 working days of authorization to
proceed. Schedules for Phase 2 and Phase 3 shall be identified in contract amendments aut�orizing the worl�

SCOPE OF SERVICES
FORT WORTH NATURE CENTER & REFUGE
Restoration Concept Drawings for Broadview Park CCC Site
Phase 1— Conceptual Drawing Development for Fund Raising Purposes
1) Meet with Client's representative on the project site to identify site constraints and client's
needs.
2) Using publicly available or client provided topography, property boundary information and aerial
photographs, develop conceptual design options in preliminary sketch form for review by the
client.
3) Meet with Client at site to discuss conceptual design options and receive comments.
4) Revise conceptual design option per client's comments.
5) Identify recommended project development approach/strategy and develop a conceptual
opinion of probable cost after receiving comments and input from the Fort Worth Nature Center
& Refuge staff and sponsors.
6) Finalize conceptual design option and produce deliverables described below.
Deliverables
The project deliverables will consist of a concept design and drawings that indicate potential restoration of the
existing CCC structures.
The deliverables will include the following:
1.) A key map to indicate the project location.
2.) Three color perspective sketches that indicate the project character, suitable for fund raising
purposes.
3.) Digital PDF file on CD for use by the Nature Center & Refuge staff.
4.) A brief letter report with attached conceptual opinion of probable cost outlining project development
requirements and recommended approach.
