HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 35782 (3)�'� RAC���� ����J f U_� AMENDMENT NO. 6 TO AGREEMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES NEW CONVENTION CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT WHEREAS, The Ciry of Fort Worth and Jacobs Facilities, Inc. (Architect) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 33230 (The Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-21271, the 24th day of January, 2006; and WHEREAS, further amendment is necessary to reimburse the Architect for additional design services to incorporate the art-related infrastructure into the Jacobs' construction documents; and NOW THEREFORE, City and Architect, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contract: 1. Article 1.1, SECTION I— SERVICES OF THE ARCHITECT, a paragraph is added to read as follows: "Provide additional design services for the tower crane foundation. The cost of this additional service is $2,000.00. The scope of services is described more fully in the Jacobs letter dated July 23, 2007, subject: City of Fort Worth Convention Center Parking Garage, Proposal for Foundation Design of Tower Crane, Project No. F5W71600, which is attached hereto as Attachment "A" and made a part of this Agreement." 2. Paragraph 1 of SECTION V- COMPENSATION TO ARCHIT�CT, is amended as follows: "The total compensation for all of the assignments to be performed by Architect as described in CHARACTER AND EXTENT of ARCHITECT'S SERVICES hereof shall be a fixed fee of $1,277,658.00, hereinafter referred to as the "total fee," plus up to $30,000 in reimbursable expenses." 3. All other provisions of this Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and effect. Byrne (TSB), we are pleased ta submit our proposaf to the City of Fort Worth to provide additional professional services for the Convention Center Parking Garage project. Following you will find an itemized discussion of our understanding of the scope, schedule, and fee requirements. SCOPE OF SERVICES Our services will include the design of the tower crane foundation and preparation of drawings to be issued to the contractor for construcfion oi the foundation. This proposal is based on the following assumptions: • The required opening size for the floor openings will be provided by TSB. • Crane tower anchorage details will be provided by TSB. We befieve these are services that should be included in TSB's scope, and as such, this design fee should be deducted from TSB's construction amouni. SCHEDULE The design can be complete and drawings issued within two weeks after receiving Notice-To- Proceed from the City. FEE We propose to provide the above described services for a Lump Sum Fee of $2,000, inc(uding all direct costs.
