WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement which amends the Contra�t: 1. Article I, of the Contract is amended to include the addition- al engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated August 7, 2007, copies of which are both attached hereto and incorporated herein. The additional services involve separating line M-163 from the balance of the sewer line projects such that it can be constructed as an individual project. In addition, the line will be relocated from its current configuration on the west side of Horne Street to the east side. The following is a brief description and cost for the additional services provided on this project: Additional Field Services Based on our meeting with you and David Cooper in June 2007, we recommend a limited sub-surface utility investigation to locate the storm sewer main line and the 12-inch water line in Camp Bowie. After a careful review of our survey data and record drawings obtained from the City, we have discovered numerous utility crossings along the proposed re- alignment of M-163. Although most of these crossing should be above the proposed sewer re-alignment, the storm sewer main and the 12-inch water line are two utilities that are of concern. Record drawings and field survey are inconclusive regarding the depth and alignment of these two lines. This change also requires preparation of a separate set of bid documents along with additional meetings and coordination time.
