QUARTERLY PROJECT STATUS REPORT Adopted by City Council on November 6, 2018, the Public Art Fiscal Year 2019 Annual Work Plan includes 49 new and ongoing public art projects. While public art staff regularly communicates with individual Council Members regarding projects in their districts, this new Public Art Quarterly Project Status Report will provide Mayor and Council information on all projects in the work plan. The attached is a new Public Art Projects Status Report for Fiscal Year 2019, First Quarter. Starting from the left, the first seven (7) columns provide the Council District, City Project (ERP) Number, Total Project Budget, Funding Source(s), Life to Date Expenditures and the amount expended in the first quarter (October 1 December 31, 2018). Update/Comments, Anticipated Completion based on the FY 2019 Annual Work Plan, Current Anticipated Completion, Current Status, and the assigned Project Manager and Art Commissioner. This re Public art staff will be happy to provide historical information upon request. PROJECT EXPEDITING METHODS The Fort Worth Public Art Master Plan Update, adopted by City Council in October 2017, made recommendations to streamline the project implementation process, including the development of Project Commission and provide valuable feedback throughout the process. On June 26, 2018, Council adopted the Fund Reprogramming Plans for the 2007 Critical Capital Needs Program and the 2004 and 2008 Bond Program, which consolidated certain projects with Council Districts for more impactful projects, which reduced the number of projects to be addressed. The Fort Worth Art Commission is considering purchase acquisition of artworks for some of these sites. The Law Department is in the process of revising Preliminary Design, Final Design and Artwork Commission Contract language to include penalties and incentives for artists to perform in a timely way, similar to construction contracts for other City capital projects. The Arts Council of Fort Worth is now utilizing project management software to track public art staff time and other helpful tools.
