SYCAMORE SCHOOL ROAD, UNIT II: From 1466' east of Crowley Road to MKT Railroad,
known and designated as Project No.021-022-159.
Unit II, a seven-inch thick hot-mix asphaltic
concrete pavement on a six-inch thick lime stab-
ilized subgrade with seven-inch high concrete
curb and eighteen-inch wide concrete gutter on a
forty-four foot roadway. Six-inch thick concrete
driveways will be constructed where specified.

On June 6, 1978 (M&C G-3837), the City Couneil approvEd �I�e 1978-81 Capital
Tmprovement Program (CTP) which included the �.11ocation �f $1,525,000 for con-
struction and right-of-way acqui�ition for Sy�am�re School Road improvements from
Crowley Road to the MKT Railroad. The project was scheduled for engineering and
right-of-way acquisi�icn in 1978, with const�uc�ion to follow in 1979e
On September 19, 19%8 �M&C C-�342), an engznPerir.g eontra�t was awardec� to the
firm of Rady and A�s�ci.a�es, Inc., to prepare pl.ans and specifications for the
improvement�a The u�tim�te plan for Sycam�re-School Road as to tie into Everman
Road just ea�t of Crowley Road� However, the delay in �.rea development has
delayed the ex�er�sion of E�e�man Road� Consequem�ly, Sy�amore School Road will
be permanently improved from the MKT Railroad to a poin� 1,466' east of Crowley
Road, and from tha� poin�. to C�n�aley Road, the existing county type roadway will
be reconstructed �o serve as a temporary roadway until such time as Everman Road
is extended west f�om I-35Wm Hence, the delay in construc�son of this project.
Improvements
Section I will cansis� �f reeonstructing the ex�sting caunty-type road by cement
stabilizing the ba�e aa�c� cons�ruc�ing a new IZ°i tl���k ho�-mix asphaltic concrete
surfa�e on a 26' w3d� �oadwayo
Section II will �be imp�ouPd with ar�erial grade �aot-mix a�phaltic concrete pave-
ment with conc�°e�e �u�b anct gu�ter and driveway approaches on a 44' wide roadway,
