ORDINANCE RECORDS OF THIS CTTY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Warks Director for the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has prepared
Plans and Specifications for the improvements of the hereinafter described portions
of streets, avenues and public places in the City of Fort Worth, Te�as, and same
having been examined by �he City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and found
to be in all matters and th�ngs pr�per, NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY 'THE C�TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT:

The hereinafter deseribed Plans and Specifications are hereby� �.pproved and
adopted.

There exists a public necess3ty fo� the improvement of the hereinafter
described po�tions of streets, avenues and public places in the City of
Fort Worth, Texas, to-wit:
LACKLAND ROAD From Highway 80 to I-30, known and designated
as Project No. 104-22000-150.

Each of the above described portions of streets, avenues and public places in the City of Fort Worth, �
Texas, shall be improved by raising, grading, and filling same and by constructing .thereon the following, to-wit :
LACKLAND ROAD From Highway 80 to I-30, known and designated as ''
Project No. 1Q4-22000-150, a seven-inch thick
hot-mix asphaltic concrete pavement on a six-inch
thick lime stabilized subgrade with seven-inch
. high concrete curb and eighteen-inch wide concrete
gutter on a forty-four foot roadway. Six-inch
thick concrete driveways and tour-foot wide con-
crete sidewalk will be constructed where specified.

To provide for the p�yment of the indebtedness incurred by the City of

so incurred.

given, he�rin� held �nd ���essment levied and �11 proceedings taken �nd had in
accordance with �nd u�der the rer�s of the power� and provisiona of Chapter 106 of
the Act� of th� �irst C�lled Se��ion of the Fortieth Legislature of the 8t�te of
Texas, now kn�wn as Article 1105b of Vernon's Texas Civil Statutea, �� amended,
which law h�a b�en �d�pted as �n affiend�ent to �nd made a part of the Charter of

The 1976-78 C�I.P,, Page A-7, provides for the widEning and improvements of
L,ackland Road, which is presently a thin seckioned �_phalt roadway which varies
in width from 30 fPet to 36 feet ex�ept for the one block between Calmont and
IH-30, whirh is 48 feer wide. Lackland Road is a nerth-south collector
�tre�t whi�h has experien�ed increased traffi� demands resulting from the new
Ridgmar Mall Shopping Center at IH-30 and SH-183.
The 19?6-78 CaI:P., Page G-5, provides for the improvement of park facilities
to in�lude parking lets. The R.D. Evans Rec�eation Cen�e� Parking Lot is
p�`esently unimp�oved�
Imp�ovements
L:a�kland Roa.d will be improved with 7-inch thi�k ccllector grade hot-mix
asphaltic concrete pavement with conc�ete curb, gutter and driveway approaches.
Four-foot wide concrete sidewalks are proposed along both sides of the street
from UeSo 80 (Ca.mp Bowie) north to the R� D� E�ans Recr�eation Center and
Z. Boa� Go1f Courseo Also included are requited drainage facilities and
�ppurtenances.
Improvements to the existing parking facility af the R. D� Evans Recreation
Cen�er and Z. Boaz Golf Course will consist of paving, curb and gutter,
sidewalks, c.oncrete wheel stops, parking space striping, t�p soil, seeding
and mino� d�ainage facilities.
