Amendment No.3
Mr. Simmons;
This letter constitutes our request for supplemental authorization for tasks outside the scope
of services of our current contract. The additional work includes the following tasks.
Hammond Street Drainage Improvements
1. Additional Concept Engineering - At our September 29, 2011 review meeting,
Dunaway was asked to prepare a cost comparison of four alternative drainage
system improvement scenarios.
The following describes the anticipated tasks and our assumptions to provide these
additional analyses.
a. Field Surveys—Obtain additional field survey data:
I. Obtain finished floor elevations for structure expected to be Inundated by
surface waters. The finished floor elevations will be used in determining
potential impact of flooding on present property values.
ii. Obtain spot elevations at key locations, such as downstream tie-in point at
railroad location, etc,
b. Hydraulic Analysis — Perform hydraulic analysis of storm drain and/or detention
improvements for the following scenarios to develop conceptual project costs:
i. Alternative 1 —Original Recommendation.
Phase 1 -- Construct the storm drain improvements recommended in
August 26, 2010 Report, but also include additional capacity beneath IH-
35W and improvements downstream to the railroad to pick up addition
depth in the system to improve the HGL throughout the system.

Phase 2 — Replace the existing system downstream of the railroad to the
existing system outfall at Prince Street with a single conduit adequate to
convey the 100-year discharges.
ii. Alternative 2-- Detention Beneath Flarnmond Street.
Phase 1 -- Construct the storm drain improvements outlined in Option B-1
of the July 21, 2011 letter report of Contract Amendment No. 2 scope items.
This option includes underground storage beneath Hammond Street and no
detention at the church property west of Timothy. This option also does not
require any additional capacity beneath IH-35W.
Phase 2 — Replace the existing system downstream of IH-35W to the
existing system outfall at Prince Street with a single conduit adequate to
convey the 100-year discharges.
iii. Alternative 3--Single Conduit Along Entire Length,
Phase 1 — Replace the entire existing system downstream of IH-35W to the
current outfall location at Prince Street, including lowering of the system
between IH-35W and the railroad.
Please 2 -- Provide additional capacity beneath IH-35W and construct a new
system upstream of IH-35W along Hammond and Timothy Streets.
iv. Alternative 4--Above-Ground Storage West of IH-35W.
Phase 1 -- Evaluate the possibility of purchasing two rows of homes along
Hammond Street and construction of surface detention, including a storm
drain system in Timothy Street upstream of the surface detention area.
This option would not require additional capacity beneath 1H-35W.
Phase 2 — Replace the existing system downstream of 1H-35W to the
existing system outfall at Prince Street with a single conduit adequate to
convey the 100-year discharges.
V. Debbie Lane Culvert Improvements -- Determine the culvert capacity
required at the Debbie Lane crossing to convey the anticipated 100-year
frequency peak discharge.
c. Project Report -- Prepare a report summarizing the alternatives evaluated,
including the assumptions made, methodologies used, and the conclusions
reached during the hydraulic analyses. The report will also include a comparison
of the engineer's opinion of probable construction costs for each alternative
evaluated, including the present values of homes expected to be flooded, as well
as exhibits illustrating the scalae of each alternative.
2, Project Development — Conduct up to two (2) project status meetings with CITY
during the course of the analysis phase. These meetings shall be used to update

3. Amendment f#2 $ 16,340
4. Amendment##3 $ 31,338
