With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth City
Council Work Session to order at 3:04 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, in City Council
Conference Room 290 of the Fort Worth City Hall, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager—David Cooke, City Manager
a. Changes to the City Council Agenda
M&C G-19455 is in Council District 3 not District 7.
b. Upcoming and Recent Events
Assistant City Manager Valerie Washington recognized Cannon Henry and the City's MLK
Employee Committee for their outstanding work on the City's MLK celebration.
c. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s)
There were no organizational updates.

2. Current Agenda Items - City Council Members
Council had discussion about modification in M&C G-19463 and M&CG-19464 related to the
MJWBE utilization. Alternative motion language will be provided for consideration at the
Council meeting. Economic Development Director, Robert Sturns will continue conversations
with stakeholders on how to update the policy going forward.

4. Presentation on the Amazon Headquarters - Robert Sturns, Economic
Development Department and Brandom Genglebach, Fort Worth Chamber of
Commerce
Mr. Robert Sturns, Economic Development Department, and Mr. Brandom Genglebach, Fort
Worth Chamber of Commerce, provided an update on the process the region went through
related to the Amazon Headquarters bid. Mr. Sturns and Mr. Genglebach provided lessons
learned that will be used in recruitments going forward.
5. Presentation on Proposed Tax Abatement Agreement with Stanley Black& Decker,
Inc. - Carol Griffith, Business Development Coordinator, Economic Development
Department
Ms. Carol Griffith, Economic Development Department, provided an update on a proposed tax
abatement agreement with Stanley Black and Decker. The proposed agreement will be on the
January 29, 2019, council agenda for consideration
6. Presentation on Rehabilitation of Pioneer Tower — Kirk Slaughter, Public Events
Department
Mr. Kirk Slaughter, Public Events Department, provided and update on the progress and cost for
the rehabilitation of Pioneer Tower. The M&C for approval of the Construction Manager at Risk
for the project is on the January 29, 2019, council agenda for consideration.
7. City Council Requests for Future Agenda Items and/or Reports
Council Member Moon — Update on Hotel Occupancy Tax — when is it charged and how can it
be used.
