COUNTY OF TARRANT
WHEREAS, The City of Fort Worth and Komatsu/Rangel, Inc. (Architect) made and entered into City
Secretary Contract No. 35385 (The Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-22141,
the 29th day of May, 2007; and
WHEREAS, further amendment is necessary to reimburse the Architect for additional printing required for
construction;and additional design services.
NOW THEREFORE, City and Architect, acting herein by and through their duly authorized
representatives, enter Into the following agreement-which amends the Contract:
1.
Article 1.1, SECTION I--SERVICES OF THE ARCHITECT, a paragraph is added to read as follows:
"Provide additional full and half size bond sets of drawings for use by during construction_ The
cost of this reimbursable expense is $1,676.74. The scope of services is described more fully in
the Komatsu letter dated June 8, 2009, subject: New Northwest Branch Library. Contract
Amendment, Ft. Worth, Texas,Additional Printing -attached hereto as Attachment"A" and made
a part of this agreement."
"Provide Construction Documents detailing additional power and data infrastructure. The cost of
this service is $6,662.00. The scope of services is described more fully in the Komatsu proposal
dated May 29, 2009, subject: New Northwest Branch Library: Contract Amendment Ft. Worth,
Texas, provide REVISED PLAN FEE PROPOSAL attached hereto as Attachment"B"and made a
part of this agreement."

Paragraph 1 of SECTION V-COMPENSATION TO ARCHITECT, is amended as follows:
"The total compensation for all of the assignments to be performed by Architect as described in
CHARACTER AND EXTENT of ARCHITECT'S SERVICES hereof shall be a fixed fee of
$411,744.57 plus$1,676.76 in reimbursable expenses."

All other provisions of this Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain in full force and
effect.

Additional Printing
Dear Mr. Clements:
Komatsu Architecture was requested by the City to provide additional sets of plans and
specifications for City use and for General Construction. This printing exceeded the
amount allowed-for in Komatsu's original contract.
This printing was provides{ to the City with no mark-up in the amount of$1,676.74.
Invoices from the printer are attached.

REVISED PLAN FEE PROPOSAL
Dear Mr. Murayama:
Komatsu was requested to provide the following post award revisions to the contract
documents:
• Relocate the Envisionware computer
• Relocate the printers and print manager computer
■ Add the DVD dispenser
• Add power and data for a TV in Computer Room
• Add a laptop charging station
• Enlarge the staff storeroom
• Revise the door to staff storeroom
■ Revise the door to program room storeroom
• Provide for the RFID Soot{Security
We propose a fee of$6,662 to provide all revised drawings and assembling a Proposal
Request for presentation to the contractor for pricing.
If you have any questions regarding this proposal please contact our office. If this
proposal meets with the City's approval Komatsu and the engineers are prepared to start
work with your written notice to proceed. We estimate That this service should take
approximately 7 business days.
