Authorize the transfer of $102,233.00 from the Storm Water Operating Fund to the Storm Water Capital Projects Fund; 2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Storm Water Capital Projects Fund in the amount of $102,233.00; and 3. Authorize the City Manager to execute an engineering agreement with Halff Associates, Inc., in the amount of $63,650.00 for Glen Garden Drainage Improvements. DISCUSSION: The Storm Water Management Program was established to reduce flooding in Fort Worth, preserve streams, minimize water pollution and to operate the storm water system in a more effective manner to fully comply with state and federal regulatory requirements. These goals will be accomplished by constructing infrastructure improvements, system maintenance, master planning, enhanced development review, and increased public education and outreach. The Glen Garden drainage area is approximately 300 acres. The scope of this project includes the analysis of approximately 1000 linear feet of storm drainage pipes and the drainage channel at Glen Garden Country Club . Halff Associates, Inc., proposes to perform the necessary work for a lump sum fee of $63.650.00. City Staff considers this to be fair and reasonable for the scope of services proposed. In addition to the contract amount, $38,583.00 is required by the Engineering Department for project management. Halff & Associates, Inc. is in compliance with the City's MWBE ordinance by committing to 31 percent MWBE participation. The City's goal on this project is 19 percent. This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8, Mapsco 92 A/E.
