With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Price called the Fort Worth City
Council or Session to order at 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, in City Council
Conference Room 290 of the Fort Worth City all, 200 Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
1. Report of the City Manager—David Cooke, City Manner
a. Changes to the City Council Agenda
There were none.
b. Upcoming and Recent Events
City Manager Cooke announced the Lanterns in the Garden event at the Botanic Gardens.
c. Organizational Updates and Employee Recognition(s)
Assistant City Manager Susan Alanis announced that Kirk Slaughter, Director of Public Events
would be leaving the City to be the Executive Director of the National Cutting Horse
Association.
Richard Zavala, Director of Park and Recreation, announced Fort Worth as a Tree City USA for
the 40"year.

Kelli Pickard, Parks and Recreation, announced that the Log Cabin Village received the Texas
Star Award from the Texas Living History Association.
Richard Zavala, Director of Park and Recreation, announced the receipt of two I million-dollar
grants from Texas Parks and Wildlife.

Chief James Davis and Ms. Maribel Martinez, Fire Department, provided an update on
Emergency Operations and their plans for the spring storm season, including training, education,
notifications and warnings.
5. City Council Requests for Future Alzenda Items and/or Reports
Council Member Bivens — information on the expansion of Arlington's landfill near Mosier
Valley Park.
