Home My WebLink AboutContract 50569-A1 RECEIVED JUN 2 5 2019 CITY SECRETARY P'°F AMENDMENT No.l CONTRACT NO._5Q(01'8 I TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 50569 WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Freese and Nichols, Inc . , (ENGINEER) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 50569, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized by M&C C-28635 on the on the 20 day of May, 2018 in the amount of $623,793 . 00; and WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project : 100333/101630 - Alliance Park Phase I & II Improvements; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 1 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee . NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1 . Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal dated May 29, 2019, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer totals $12, 000 . 00 (See Attached Funding Breakdown Sheet, Page -3-) 2 . Article II of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $635, 793 .00 3 . All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect . AMENDMENT TASKS 1. Plat Services: Include the preparation of a preliminary and final plat document and the setting of newly platted corners.This estimate does not include application fees,filing fees with the City and/or County nor does it include time associated with Planning and Council meetings.This estimate assumes the project Owner will coordinate with the controlling jurisdiction for the filling of the plat at the County seat.The consultant team will also attend (1) One PDC meeting. General project details and deliverables: • The Surveyor will work up a plat of the project area per the guidelines of the controlling jurisdiction. • Sheet Format: 24x36 sheets at an appropriate scale. • 3 original hard signed copies with PDF electronic backups are included. • Newly created lot corners will be staked once the final plat is approved and filed. Assumptions: Abstracting Services:This estimate does not include hiring an abstractor to conduct abstracting services for property, easement and right-of-way research.Current platting and/or deed information available at the County and information provided to the Surveyor by the client and/or owner will be used for this project. Additional Project Services:This estimate only includes platting the project area as shown on Attachment B. Any additional platting services beyond what is shown may result in additional fees. City Council or Planning Meetings:This estimate does include time associated with (1) One City Planning or Council meeting.Any meetings after,will be invoiced hourly to the Client/Owner time and materials. Offsite Easements:The platting fee does not include the preparation of offsite easements and/or mapping. If any additional services are required,additional compensation may be requested as an additional service. City and County Filing Fees:This estimate does not include Tarrant County filing fees nor does it include City of Fort Worth application fees.Those fees will be invoiced to the project at cost as accrued. Tax Certificates:This estimate includes the retrieval of tax certificates at the Tarrant County Tax Office. Page 1 Filing of plat:This estimate includes time associated with filing the plat after the City of Fort Worth has approved the preliminary submittals. Work Schedule: Platting Services: The Surveyor will have plat documents ready to submit to the controlling jurisdiction within 5 weeks from the receipt of written authorization to proceed.
