AMENDMENT NO. 1 and EXTENSION 1
TO
rt CITY OF FORT WORTH CONTRACT 43450
This Amendment and Extension is entered into by and between the City of Fort
Worth (hereafter "City"), a home rule municipality, with its principal place of business at 200
Texas Street, Fort Worth, Texas, and Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP (hereafter
"Contractor") a Texas law firm.
WHEREAS,on July 10, 2012,the Fort Worth City Council authorized the City to enter
into a Professional Services Contract ("Contract") with Contractor for collection of delinquent
parking and criminal citations ("Services") (M&C C-25713); and
WHEREAS, the Contract provided the contract would be for a 5-year initial term with
2 one-year renewal options;
WHEREAS,the City utilized both one-year renewal options under the Contract and the
Contract is currently set to expire on July 31, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Contractor is paid a statutory fee from third-parties and does not
receive compensation from the City for the Services; and
WHEREAS, the City finds that these collection services require the use of specialized
skills, independent analysis, and collection strategies such that it is a professional service as
defined by section 252.022 of the Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City and Contractor both wish to extend the Contract to allow
Contractor to continue performing its professional collection services under the same terms and
conditions until June 30, 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Contractor, acting herein by the through their duly
authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement:

AMENDMENTS
A. The following shall replace section 2.(b) of the Contract in its entirety:
b)Renewal Option and Extension
In addition to the primary term, the City may, at its discretion, renew this
Agreement for up to two additional, one-year renewal periods on the same terms and conditions
by providing written notice to Contractor at least ninety(90)days before the end of the then-current
term. Following the primary term or any renewal term thereafter, City and Contractor may extend
the Term of the Contract by written agreement for a time period not to exceed one additional year.
2.
EXTENSION
The City and Contractor hereby agree to extend the Term of the Contract fo
additional period to expire on June 30, 2020, unless terminated earlier in accordanc L RECORD

ALL OTHER TERMS SHALL REMAIN THE SAME
All other provisions of the Contract which are not expressly amended herein shall remain
in full force and effect.
4.
ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE
This Amendment and Extension may be executed in multiple counterparts, each of
which shall be an original and all of which shall constitute one and the same instrument.
A facsimile copy or computer image, such as a PDF or tiff image, or a signature, shall be
treated as and shall have the same effect as anoriginal.
