AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS FILED BY
THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR FOR THE IMPROVIMENT OF A
PORTION OF MONTGOMERY STREET IN THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR
BIDS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director, on the 30th day of January, 1957,
filed with the City Council complete Specifications for the improvement of
Montgomery Street, from the northerly line of Vickery Boulevard to the south-
erly line of West Lancaster, save and except the Freeway construction between
the approximate southerly line of West Rosedale to the approximately southerly
line of Calmont Avenue; the same are hereby approved as the Specifications
under which said work shall be done.
SECTION 2.
The City Secretary is hereby directed to advertise for Bids for the
construction of the said improvements in accordance with the said Specifica-
tions, which advertisement shall be inserted one or more times in the Fort
Worth Star-Telegram, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Fort
Worth, and shall call for sealed Bids for the said work, to be filed with
the City Council on or before the 14th diy of February, 1957, at 10:00 o'clock
A.M. upon which date such bids shall be opened and read as prescribed by the
City Charter. The first publication of said advertisement shall be not less
than ten (10) days before the date herein set for opening of Bids.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
