AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING THE TEN
(10) FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED
ALONG THE COMMON LOT LINES BETWEEN LOTS 5
AND 6, BLOCK 513, LOTS 8 AND 9, BLOCK 518,
LOTS 7 AND 8, BLOCK 519, AND LOTS 4 AND 5,
BLOCK 520, WEDGWOOD ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTER-
EST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN THE SAID
LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the ten (10) foot wide utility easements located
along the common lot lines between Lots 5 and 6, Block 513,
Lots 8 and 9, Block 518, Lots 7 and 8, Block 519, and Lots
4 and 5, Block 520, Wedgwood Addition to the City of Fort
Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same are hereby
extinguished, vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as
easements for public utilities.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said easements above described is hereby re-
leased and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee
thereof as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

The Traffic Engineering Department, on behalf of the Essex Company, owner

of all abutting property, has requested that the City vacate the ten (10)
foot wide utility easements located along the common lot lines between Lots
5 and 6, Block 513; Lots 8 and 9, Block 518; Lots 7 and 8, Block 519 and
Lots 4 and 5, Block 520, all in the Wedgwood Addition, as shown on the
attached map.
Subject easements are not now being used and it has been determined that
they will not be needed in the future.
City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request
and have no objections to this vacation.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption
of an ordinance vacating the utility easements as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject easements
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
