AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING VARIOUS STREETS, ALLEY AND UTLITY
EASEMENTS IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, SAID STREETS
BEING THE 5750 BLOCK OF BAYLOR STREET FROM THE
EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF THE 30 FOOT WIDE NORTH-
SOUTH ALLEY EASTWARD TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
LOT 10A, BLOCK CR, SANDY ACRES ADDITION, THE 5750
BLOCK OF MONTAGUE STREET FROM THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY
LINE OF THE 30 FOOT WIDE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY EASTWARD
TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 9C, BLOCK CR, SANDY
ACRES ADDITION, THE 30 FOOT WIDE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY
IN AND BETWEEN BLOCK 2, TRIANGLE PARK ADDITION AND
BLOCK FR, SANDY ACRES ADDITION FROM THE SOUTHWEST

OF THE COMMON LOT LINES OF LOTS 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A,
3B, 4A, 4B, BLOCK FR AND LOTS 9C and 10A, BLOCK CR,
SANDY ACRES ADDITION, FROM THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT
4B, BLOCK FR, EAST TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 10A,
BLOCK CR, SANDY ACRES ADDITION; THE 10 FOOT WIDE UTILITY
EASEMENT IN BLOCKS BR AND GR, SANDY ACRES ADDITION FROM
THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 4B EAST TO THE NORTHEAST
CORNER OF LOT 10A, BLOCK BR, SANDY ACRES ADDITION,
EXTENDING ON 5 FEET ON EITHER SIDE OF THE COMMON LOT
LINES OF LOTS 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B, BLOCK
GR AND LOTS 9C AND 10A, BLOCK BR; PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the below described streets, alley and easements be
and the same are hereby vacated, abandoned, closed and extinguished
for street, alley and easement purposes:
A. The 5750 block of Baylor Street from the east
right-of-way line of the 30 foot wide north-south alley eastward to
the southeast corner of Lot 10A, Block CR, Sandy Acres Addition;
B. The 5750 block of Montague Street from the east
right-of-way line of the 30 foot wide north-south alley eastward to
the northeast corner of Lot 9C, Block CR, Sandy Acres Addition;
C. The 30 foot wide north-south alley in and between Block
2, Triangle Park Addition and Block FR, Sandy Acres Addition from the
southwest corner of Lot 4B, Block GR, Sandy Acres Addition to the
northwest corner of Lot 2B, Block ER, Sandy Acres Addition;
D. The five foot wide utility easement in Lot 1-R-1, Block
2, Triangle Park Addition adjacent to and extending 5 feet west of
the common property line of Lots 2B and 4B, Block GR, Sandy Acres
Addition and Lot 1-R-1, Block 2, Triangle Park Addition;
E. The 10 foot wide utility easement in Block CR and
FR, Sandy Acres Addition extending 5 feet on either side of the
common lot lines of Lots 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B, Block FR
and Lots 9C and 10A, Block CR, Sandy Acres Addition, from the
northwest corner of Lot 4B, Block FR east to the northeast corner of
Lot 10A, Block CR, Sandy Acres Addition;
F. The 10 foot wide utility easement in Block BR and GR,
Sandy Acres Addition from the northwest corner of Lot 4B, Block GR,
east to the northeast corner of Lot 10A, Block BR, Sandy Acres Ad-
dition, extending on 5 feet either side of the common lot lines of
Lots 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B, Block GR and Lots 9C and 10A,
Block BR.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated
streets, alley and utility easements is hereby released and shall
revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that
easements are retained for any and all existing and prospective
utilities in a portion of the 5750 block of Baylor Street described
as follows: a width of 15 feet extending from a point 15 feet north
of the south right-of-way line of Baylor Street to a point 30 feet
north of the south right-of-way line of Baylor Street, and extending
in length from the east right-of-way line of the 30 foot north-south
alley eastward to the northeast corner of Lot 9C, Block CR, Sandy
Acres Addition.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force

aid effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

McCaslin Steel Erection, Inc. , with the consent of all abutting property owners,
has requested that the City vacate the:
(a) 5750 block Baylor Street, a width of 601, from the east right-of-way line
of a 30' wide north-south alley eastward to the southeast corner of Lot
10A, Block CR, Sandy,,Acres Addition;
(b) 5750 block of Montague Street, a width of 60' , from the east right-bf-way
line of a 30' wide north-south alley eastward to the northeast corner
of Lot 9C, Block CR, Sandy Acres Addition;
(c) 30' wide north-south alley in and between Block 2, Triangle Park Addition,
and Block FR, Sandy Acres Addition, from the southeast corner of Lot 4B,
Block G-R, Sandy Acres Addition, south to the northwest corner of Lot 2B,
Block ER, Sandy Acres Addition;
(d) 5' wide utility easement in Lot 1-R-1, Block 2, Triangle Park Addition,
adjacent to Lots 2B and 4B, Block G-R, Sandy Acres Addition, from Grayson
Street south to the north right-of-way line of a 30' wide north-south
alley;
(e) 10' wide utility easement in Blocks CR & FR, Sandy Acres Addition, from
the northwest corner of Lot 4B, east to the northeast corner of Lot 10A,
Block CR, Sandy Acres Addition; and
(f) 10' wide utility easement in Block BR and GR, Sandy Acres Addition, from
the northwest corner of Lot 4B, east to the northeast corner of Lot 10A,
Block BR, Sandy Acres Addition; as shown on the attached map.
The subject streets, alley and easements were acquired by dedication. The street
are open, paved to County standards and in use. The subject alley is not open o
the ground and the easements are not in use and contain no public utility faci-
lities. The subject vacation request is made in order to expand the building
area and provide more usable yard space.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tions to this request,-provided the vacated rights-of-way and easements are
replatted with adjacent property.
The Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the subject
street, alley and easement rights-of-way be vacated.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the 5750 blocks of
Baylor and Montague Streets; the 30' wide alley; and the 5' and-10' wide utility
easements in Block 2, Triangle Park Addition, and in Bloc +, FR, and CR,
PQQ Sandy Acres Addition. C
