AN ORDINANCE DISCOUNTINUING TERRITORY FROM
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL AMEND EVERY PRIOR ORDINANCE IN DIRECT
CONFLICT HEREWITH: PROVIDING THAT THIS OR-
DINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE; OF ALL PRIOR
ORDINANCES NOT IN DIRECT CONFLICT; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory within the cor-
porate limits of the City of Fort Worth be and the same is here-
by discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth; said
territory being Lot 2 of Hinton Heights Addition, situated
approximately 11 miles northeasterly from the Courthouse of
Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows:
A parcel of land situated in Tarrant County, Texas and
being a tract of land in the J. R. KNIGHT Survey, abstract
No. 903, and being a portion of that certain tract conveyed
to Harwood P. Hinton by deed recorded in Volume 5591, page
842, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and
being more fully described as follows:
Beginning a the Southwest corner of the tract herein
described, an iron rod that bears North 89 degrees 26
minutes 40 seconds East, 321.67 feet and North 0 degrees 01
minutes 20 seconds East; 25.00 feet from the Southwest
corner of said Harwood P. Hinton tract;
Thence North 0 degrees Ol minutes 20 seconds East, 226.94
feet to an iron rod for corner;
Thence South 89 degrees 24 minutes 49 seconds West 882.04
feet;
Thence South 227.19 feet;
Thence South 89 degrees 26 minutes 40 seconds West 885.04
feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and containing 4. 623 acres
more or less.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior
ordinance in direct conflict herewith, but as to all other
ordinances or sections of ordinance not in direct conflict here-
with, this ordinance shall and the same is hereby made cumu-
lative.
SECTION 3.
That it is "hereby declared to be the intent of the City
Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and
phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any phrase,
clause, sentence, or paragraph or section of this ordinance
shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid judgment or
decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitu-
tionality shall not affect any of the remaining phases, clauses,
sentences, paragraphs and section of this ordinance, since the
same would have been enacted by the City Council without the in-
corporation in this ordinance of any such unconstitutional
phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.

sD eve lopment Coordinator's Office from Mr. Andes G. Garza, Jr. , owner of the 4.6
acre Lot 2 in Hinton Heights Addition. (See attached Exhibit "A" Map and
Report. ) TCiis area was annexed by the City of Fort Worth on April 15, 1980 by
Ordinance dumber 8062.
City Plan 'Commission
On April._ 8, 1982, the City Plan Commission recommended approval of the
disannexat-ion of Lot 2, Hinton Heights Addition.
RecomMn fida`t ion
It e,-recommended that the City Council accept the recommendation of the City
P.Lan_Commission and adopt the attached disannexation ordinance.
