Discussion The expenses for activities related to the sale of city surplus property has exceeded the amount allocated in the 1984-85 budget. These additional ex- penses are the result of increased sales over last year. As of July 31, 1985 the general fund revenue generated by surplus property sales amounts to $428,924. This amount reflects an approximate 104% increase over the pro- jected $210,000. As a result of the increased sales, expenditures for litigation , taxes and general administration have also increased. Therefore, it will be necessary at this time to appropriate additional funds to cover these expenses. Financing Due to the above increased expenditures , it is necessary that a Supplemental Appropriation be made from the General Fund Balance to cover expenses through the end of Budget Year 1984-85 for the Real Property Management Division. The unappropriated fund balance after this appropriation will be $18,948,124.82 DI:dd APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL SEP 5 1985 City Seoretary of the City of Fort Ylual,Isams SUBMITTED FOR T DISPOSITION BY COUNCIL: PROCESSED BY CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE BY: ❑ APPROVED ORIGINATING ❑ OTHER (DESCRIBE) DEPARTMENT HEAD: Michael E.
