AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE REVENUES OF THE GENERAL FUND
OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH FOR FISCAL YEAR 1985-1986 BY
TRANSFERRING THERETO $2,000 FROM SPECIAL GIFT FUND 88,
ADULT HEALTH NURSES, PROJECT NO. 501002-00, AND
APPROPRIATING FROM THE INCREASED ESTIMATED REVENUES OF THE
GENERAL FUND THE SUM OF $2, 000 TO ACCOUNT NO. 50-15-09 ,
PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT, FOR USE IN THE PURCHASE OF
SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT NEEDED IN THE ADULT HEALTH
SCREENING PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND
REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
PROVIDING FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS;
SECTION 1 .
That there is hereby transferred to the General Fund of the
City of Fort Worth from the Special Gift Fund, No. 88 , Adult Health
Nurses, Project No. 501002-00, the sum of $2, 000, thereby increasing
the estimated revenue of the General Fund of the City of Fort Worth
for Fiscal Year 1985-1986 by $2, 000, and that, in addition to
providing the City Manager with such other revenue as may be secured
from various sources included in Ordinance No. 9458 and in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be appropriated from
the revenues thus increased $2, 000 to account No. 50-15-09, Public
Health Department, for use in the purchase of supplies and equipment
needed in the Adult Health Screening program.
SECTION 2.
Should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordi-
nance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a
court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment
shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections or parts of
sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be
and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 9458 and
all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in
those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct
conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which
instances said conflicting provisions are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
The City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth is hereby directed
to engross and enroll this ordinance by copying the caption and
effective date in the minutes of the City Council and by filing this
ordinance in the ordinance records of the City.
SECTION 5.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so or-
dained.

Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council :
1) Authorize the transfer of $2,000 from Special Gift Fund No. 88, Project No.
501002-00 to the General Fund and establish the budgetary accounts in the
Special Gift Fund No. 88, Project No. 501002-00 in like amount;
2) Adopt the supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing appropriations in
the General Fund (Public Health Department) Account No. 50-15-09, and also
thereby increasing estimated receipts by $2,000; and,
3,�- Approve the expenditure of $2,000 from donated citizen funds for use in the
purchase of supplies and equipment needed in the Adult Health Screening Pro-
gram.
Background
Citizens of Fort Worth have expressd their appreciation of services provided
through the Adult Health Screening Program by making donations to the Public
Health Department, Nursing Division, for the purpose of providing support to this
program.
These donations will be used to purchase supplies and equipment needed to con-
tinue this service.
Financing
Sufficient funds are available in Special Gift Fund 88, Project No. 501002-00,
Index Code No. 904276. A transfer to the Public Health Department, General Fund,
Index Code No. 284190 is necessary. A supplemental appropriation is necessary.
