AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, CLOSING AND
EXTINGUISHING AN ACCESS EASEMENT, SUMMERFIELDS
ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR
REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT the 24 foot wide by 233 foot long access easement, containing 5,507
square feet and located on Lot 21 RB, Block 12, Summerfields Addition, as shown in
Cabinet A, Slide 3667, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically
described in the Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be
and the same is vacated, abandoned and permanently closed and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described access easement is hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

24' ACCESS EASEMENT
BEING a 0.126 acre tract of land situated in Lot 21 RB, Block 12, Summerfields
Addition, being an addition to the City of Fort Worth, according to the plat
recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 3667 of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas,
said 0.126 acre tract being more particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows:
COMMENCING in the southwest corner of Lot 20, Block 12, Summerfields Phase I
Addition, Volume 388-185, Page 58, Plat Records,Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE North 89 degrees 43 minutes 23 seconds West along the south line of
said Lot 21 RB Block 12 a distance of 229.49 feet to a point at the beginning of
a non tangent curve to the left;
THENCE along said curve to the left whose radius is 187.00 feet through a
central angle of 16 degrees 08 minutes 43 seconds, a length of 52.69 to a
point in a curve whose radius is 187.00;
THENCE along said curve to the left through a central angle of 05 degrees 45
minutes 55 seconds a length of 18.82 feet to a point in a curve to the right
whose radius is 213.00 feet;
THENCE along said curve through a central angle of 01 degrees 47 minutes 32
seconds a length of 6.66 feet;
THENCE North 89 degrees 43 minutes 23 seconds West, 224.99 feet to a point;
THENCE South 00 degrees 16 minutes 37 seconds West, 24.00 feet to a point;
THENCE South 89 degrees 43 minutes 23 seconds East, 233.51 feet to the POINT
OF BEGINNING and containing 5,507 s.f. or 0.126 acres of land.

SUBJECT ACCESS EASEMENT VACATION (VA-97-064): LOT 21 RB, BLOCK 12,
SUMMERFIELDS ADDITION, FORT WORTH
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Ordinance vacating a twenty-four foot (24')
wide by two hundred thirty-three foot (233') long access easement, containing 5,507 square feet and
located on Lot 21 RB, Block 12, Summerfields Addition, as shown in Cabinet A, Slide 3667, Plat
Records of Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION:
Scott Allred, of First Bank, Azle, Texas, owner of the subject property, has requested the City to vacate
the above described access easement. The subject easement contains no utilities and was acquired
by dedication. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to
this request, and a replat is not required.
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Land Agent for the City of Fort Worth has determined that a one dollar ($1.00) fee satisfies the
interests of the City.
