AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE USE OF A SIRENS EXCEPT BY A POLIUE OFFICER PR PEhSONS OPER& ING A FIRE TRUCK OR AMBULANCE AND COMPELLING THE: USSEOF , SAME WHEN MAKING AN EMERGENCY CAL, AND FURTHhTc PROHIBITING PERSONS FROM RESERVING PARKING SPACE EXCEPT BY A WRITTEN PERMIT: AND ALSO REGULATING THE TIME A VEHICLE SHALLBE PARKED ON THE STREETS IN THE CITY OF' FORT WORTH AND THE WAY IN WHICH ALL VEHICLES SHALL BE PARKED ON MAIN, HOUSTUN, 0010MCE, ThROCKMORTON MONROE,STREiTS, JENNINGS AVENUE AND ALL STREETS WHICH INTERSECT MAIN STREET. BE IT ORDIANED BY THE BOARD OF' COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH. SECTION 1.- It shall be unlawful for anyone except a police officer, or one operating a Fire Truck or Ambulance, to use a sirene on eucn vehicle, provided those who are permitted to use a sirene, shall be required to use the same, when as emergency call is being made. No sirene snali be used, except an electric driven sirene of a shrill piercing tone capable a of being heard several blocks in advance of a moving Vehicle. SECTION 2.- No vehicle shall be parked or permitted to stand or remain, except to load[ or Unload merchandise Pr persons, in any space of the streets specially reserved by order of the Chief of Police, provisoes in this article to the contrary notwithstanaing, SECTION 3.- No person shall place on display or otherwise use any signs for the purpose of reserving any parking space on any of the streets of Fort Worth, without first pbtaining a written permit from the Chief of Police. fir y 2 SECTION 4.rw Hereafter no vehicles bound North on Main or Houston Streets, will turn to the left at an intersection with a.no mer street, where a traffic oftioer is stationed. On Third Street, all vehicles ehwl.L park facing the South curb, Throckmorton to Commerce street. No vehicles shall parkon the North side of Third street, Throokmorton to Commerce street. On Fourth Street, all vehicles shall park facing the South curb, Throckmorton to Commerce street. No vehicles shall park on the North side of Fourth street, Throckmorton to Commerce street. On Fifth street all vehicles shall park facing the North curb, Throckmorton to Commerce street. No vehicles shall park on the South side of Fifth street, Throckmorton to Commerce street. On Sixth street, all vehicles shall park facing the South curb, Throckmorton to Commerce street. No vehicles shall park on the North side of Sixth street, Throckmorton to Commerce street. On Seventh Street, all vehicles shall park on the North side of the street only and parallel to the ourb. No vehicles shall park on the South side of Seventh street. On Eighth Street, all vehicles shall park on eitner side of the street and parallel to the curb, Throckmorton to Commerce street. On Ninth Street, all vehicles shall park on the North side of the street, Houston to Commerce street and parallel vehicles to the curb, but no Qavw shall be parked on either side of the street Houston to Throckmorton street and on the South side of Xnth1 street, Houston to Commerce street. On Tenth street, all vehicles shall park facing the North curb, Houston to Commerce street and on the North side of the street, Houston to Throckmorton street, parallel to 3 the curb, but no vehicles shall be parked on the South side of the street, Commerce to Throokmorton street. On Tenth street, Thiockmorton to Monroe street, all vehicles shall be parked on either side of the street, parallel to the curb. On Eleventh street, all vehicles shall be parked facing the North curb, Throckmorton to Commerce street, and they hall be parked facing the North curb, Monroe to Jennings Avenue, and on the South side of the street parallel to the curb. No vehicles shall be parked on the South side of the street, Throckmorton to Commerce street. On Twelfth Street, all vehicles shall be parked facing the South curb, Houston to Commerce street and facing the North curb, Houston to Throckmorton street. No vehicles shall be parked on the North side of Twelfth street, Houston to Commerce street, or on the South side of the street, Houston to Throckmorton street. On Thirteenth street, all vehicles shall park facing the South curb, Houston to Commerce street. No vehicles shall be parked, Houston to Throckmorton street, except to load and unload merchandise. All vehicles may park on said street, Monroe to Throckmorton street on either side parallel with the curb. On Fourteenth Street, all veni�;les shall park facing the South curb, Commerce to Throckmorton street. No vehicles shall park on the North side of the street, Commerce to Throckmorton street. On Fifteenth street, all vehicles shall parkiion either side of the street, parallel to the curb, Throckmorton to Conaae -ce street. On Front street, all vehicles shall park facing the North curb, Houston to Main street. On Moni:oe street, all vehicles shall park on either side of the street, parallel to the curb, Eighth to Thirteenth Street. On Texas Street, all vehicles shall park on either side of the street, parallel to the cudb, Monroe street to Jen- nings Avenue. f � 4 SECTtOh 5.- All vehicles bound east or west, may turn to the left or right, anywhere on Main street or Houston street, but no complete turns sh81i be made, on either Main or Houston streets. Section 6.- Between the hours of 8 A.M. and 6:30 P.M., except on Sundays, no vehicle shall be allowed to park, stand or remain for a period of in excess of two hours, on any street which intersects Main street, between Throckmorton and Monroe streets on the West, and Commerce street on the East. Seotin 7.- Hereafter all vehicles on Main, Houstor4 Commerce between Belknap and Front streets, shall be parked on either side parallel with the curb; on Throckmorton street from Belknap to Tenth, shall be parked on either side parallel with the curb; On Throckmorton street from Tenth to Fifteenth streets thay shall be parked facing the East curb and no vehicle will be parked on the West side of the street from Tenth to Fifteenth streets. On Weatherford street all vehicles shall park facing the Bouth curb, Houston to Main street, but no vehicles shall park on the North side of Weatheford street, Houston to Com- merce street; On Weatherford street, Mainrto Commerce 'street all vehicles shall park on the South side of the street and parallel to the curb, and on both sides of the street, parallel to the curb, Houston to Throckmorton street. On First street all vehicles shall park facing the South curb, Houston to Commerce street and on either side of the street and parallel to the curb, Houston to Throckmorton street. a � 5 No vehicles shall park on the North side of the street on First street, Houston to Commerce street. On Second street, all vehicles shall park facing the South curb, Houston to Commerce street and facing the North curb, Houston to Throckmorton street. No vehicles shall park on the North side of the street, Houston to Throolmorton street. Section 8— The word "park" as hereinabove used, means to stop, stand, remain or occupy a cer.ain position, on any portion of the street designated. Section 9.- Any person violating any of the provisions of this 9rdinance, or any person failing or refusing to do any of the things herein required, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviotion thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not to emceed One Hundred (0100.00) dollars. Section 10.- All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances, in conilict with this Ordinance, are hereby repealed. Section ll.- This Ordinance is hereby declared to be cumulative of all other Ordinances, regulating traffic upon the streets of the City of Fort Worth, except where the same are in conflict with 6he provisions of this Ordinance. Section 12.- Should any section or part of section of this Cu ainance be declared invalid, by any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision or judgement shall not effect the remaining sections or parts of sections of this Ordinance, which shall continue to be in effect.
