AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3032, BEING AN
ORDINANCE TO REGUTATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION AND
USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, AND LAND FOR TRADE,
INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE, OR OTHER PURPOSES, THE HEIGHT,
NUMBER OF STORIES AND SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER
STRUCTURES, THE SIZE OF YARDS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES,
OFF-STREET PARKING AND LOADING AND THE DENSITY OF
POPULATION; AND FOR SAID PURPOSES TO DIVIDE THE
MUNICIPALITY INTO DISTRICTS OF SUCH NUMBER, SHAPE,
AND AREA AS MAY BE DEEMED BEST BY FIXING DEFINITE
USES OF THE BUILDINGS HEREINAFTER ERECTED IN SAID
DESCRIBED AREAS FRCM THE USES AS SHMN ON THE MAPS
CONTAINED IN SAID ORDINANCE NO, 3011; PRESCRIBING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A FINE CF NOT LESS THAN
$5.00 NOR MORE THAN $200,00 FOR EACH OFFENSE, AND
THAT EACH DAY THAT A VIOLATION IS PERMITTED TO EXIST
SHALL CONSTITUTE A SEPARATE OFFENSE; AND NAMING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT OMAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TO CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Ordinance No. 3011 be amended so that the following described uses in
the hereinafter described areas be altered, changed and amended as follows to-wit:

SECTION 2.
The zoning regulations and districts, as herein established, have been made in
accordance with a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting health, safety,
morals and the general welfare of the community. They have been designed to lessen
congestion in the streets; to secure safety from fire, panic and other dangers; to
provide adequate light and air; to prevent the overcrowding of land; to avoid un-
due concentration of population; to facilitate the adequate provision of trans-
portation, water, sewerage, parks and other public requirements. They have been
made with reasonable consideration, among other things, of the character of the
district and its peculiar suitability for the particular uses and with a view of
conserving the value of buildings and encouraging the most appropriate use of land
throughout the community.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances of the City of
Fort Worth affecting zoning and shall not repeal any of the provisions of said
ordinance except in those instances where provisions of those ordinances are in
direct conflict with the provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 4.
Should any section, clause or provision of this ordinance be declared by
the Court to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
as a whole or any part thereof, other than the part so declared to be invalid.
SECTION 5.
Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or
refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be fined not less than Five and No/100 Dollars ($5.00) nor
more than Two Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($200.00) for each offense. Each day that
a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 6,
This Ordinance wi11 take effect and be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as required by L w.

The City Council in session March 13, 1959 adopted a
Resolution, setting a Zoning Hearing, April 3, 1959.
Attached is the original and three copies of an Ordinance
establishing the zoning for the areas which were recommend-
ed by the City Zoning Commission, March 12, 1959• Also
attached are maps showing the different locations of the
recommended changes and additional copies of a letter,
dated March 13, 1959, which lists the zoning as recom-
mended for the anne-oed area.

Gentlemen:
The City Zoning Commission at a special meeting March 12, 1959
considered the initial zoning classification of land annexed to
the City of Fort Worth by description as follows:
„Area annexed by Ordinance No. 3851 and 3852, adopted
February 27, 1959; bounded on the north by Sycamore
Creek and Oak Grove Road; on the east by 1. & G. N.
RR., View Park Addition and M. Garrison and J. Hudson
Surveys, on the south by 1946 City Limit Line; and
on the West by 1946 City Limit Line (approximately
100 feet east from east line of South Freeway); and
embracing portions of L. Cohen, L. Oldham, S. J.
Rhodes, M. Garrison, R. Gillispie and J. Kirby Surveys."
The Commission recommended initial zoning districts for the above
area as shown on the attached maps. Attached is a resolution
providing for a public hearing by the City Council on April 3,
1959 to consider the recommended initial zoning classification.
