The procedures concerning owner particips-.tion. in the cost of paving, including methods and policies of detenrir!in_g assessments and street construction stan- dards were explained by members of the xtaff to the twenty-eight persons in attendance. John Moncrief, speaking in. 'beLa.lf of his father, John M. Moncrief, 411 Grand, owner of Lots 1 & 16, Block 8, Dixie Wagon Mfg. Co. Addition, and Lot 1, Block 11, Dixie Wagon Mfg. Co. Addition, objected to the proposed improvements stating that his father could not afford it and that the property would not be enhanced in an amount equal to the proposed assessment. William Green, 4005 Oscar, owner of Lot 10, Block 1, Rondell Addition, objected to the proposed improvements stating that the property would not be benefited since the front of the property would still abut an unpaved street. Mr. Green was advised to contact the Assessment Paving Office, request a peti- tion to be circulated among the affected owners and return the petition when the signatures of the majority of the abutting frontage is obtained. Mr. J. H. Kahn, 1409 N. E. 33rd, owner of Lot 1, Block 1, Rondell Addition, objected to the proposed assessment for property that backs up to the pro- posed Long Avenue Extension. The staff advised that these properties would be given an opportunity to sign a no access agreement and the proposed assess- ment could be waived. Mrs. Georgia Green, 3413 Schwartz, owner of Lots 10 and 11, Block 12, Dixie Wagon Mfg. Co. Addition_, objected to the proposed improvements on the basis that she is sole support of her family and is trying to put a son through college. OFFICIAL RECORD CITY SECRETARY FT. WORTH, TEX.
