AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS FILED BY
THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
PORTIONS OF TRENTMAN STRESS.', TOWNSEND DRIVE,
KILPATRICK AVENUE, BIDDISON STREET, AND CUR20N AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the Public Works Director having on the 14th day of May,
1956, filed with the City Council complete Specifications for the improvement of
Trentman Street, from the southerly line of Martin Street to the southerly line
of Oakhill Street, !norm and designated as Unit No. l; Townsend Drive, from
the northerly line of McPherson Street to the southerly line of Robert Street,
known and designated as Unit No. 2; Kilpatrick Avenue, from the easterly line
of Prefomt Street to the westerly line of Merrick Street, known and designated
as Unit No. 3; Biddison Street, from the easterly line of the North—South
Freeway to the westerly line of Evans Avamue, known and Aesignated as Unit No.
4; Curzon Avenue, from the easterly line of Faron Street to the westerly line
of Bourine Street, known and designated as Unit No. 5; the same be and are
hereby approved as the Specifications under which said work shall be done.
Section 2.
That the City Secretary is hereby directed to advertise for Bids
for the construction of the said improvements in accordance with the said
Specifications, which advertisement shall be inserted one or more times in the
Fort Worth Press, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Fort Worth,
and shall call for sealed bids for the said work, to be filed with the City
Council on or before the 7th day of June, 1956, at 10:00 o'clock A.M. upon which
date shall be opened and read as prescribed by the City Charter, That the first
publication of said advertisement shall be not less than ten (10) days before
the date herein set for opening of Bids.
Section 3.
That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.

Dear Sir:
In connection with the proposed assessment paving of Trentman Street, from
the southerly line of Martin Street to the southerly line of Oakhill Street,
Townsend Drive, from the northerly line of McPherson Street to the southerly
line of Robert Street, Kilpatrick Avenue, from the easterly line of Prevost
Street to the westerly line of Merrick Street, Biddison Street, from the easterly
line of the North—South Freeway to the westerly line of Evans Avenue, Curzon
Avenue, from the easterly line of Faron Street to the westerly line of Bourine
Street, all five streets to be awarded as separate units of the same contract,
we are attaching the following documents:
2. Report of the Public Works Director to be filed with the
Specif ications.
3. Ordinance approving the Specifications.

Appropriation Request for City's apparent cost.
The Specifications state that the project will be advertised on Friday, May
25, 1956, for bids to be received on Thursday, June 7, 1956,
Previous steps taken in connection with this project are:
1. Ordinance No. 3453, Ordering the paving on Trentman Street,
adopted by City Council on April 4, 1956;
Ordinance No. 3459, Ordering the paving on Townsend Drive,
adopted by City Council on April 4, 1956;
Ordinance No. 3457, Ordering the paving on Kilpatrick Avenue,
adopted by City Council on April 4, 1956;
Ordinance No. 3427, Ordering the paving on Biddison Street,
adopted by City Council on February 1, 1956;
Ordinance No. 3458, Ordering the paving on Curzon Avenue,
adopted by City Council on April 4, 1956.

It is proposed to combing the five streets into one Contract with each street
being a separate unit. An Estimate Summary for the Project is attached.
We recommend that the attached Ordinance be adopted and that the attached
Appropriation Request for $40,500.00, as the City's apparent cost, be approved.
Advertisement for Bids can be published in the Fart Worth Press on May 25, 1956•

Herewith I hand you Specifications for the improvement
of the following streets in the City of Fort Worth:
TRENTMAN STREET: from the southerly line of Martin Street to
the southerly line of Oakhill Street, known and designated as Unit No. 1.
TOWNSEND DRIVE: from the northerly line of McPherson Street
to the southerly line of Robert Street known and designated as Unit No. 2.
KILPATRICK AVENUE: from the easterly line of Prevost Street to the
westerly line of Merrick Street, known and designated as Unit No. 3.
BIMISON STREET: from the easterly line of the North-South Freeway
to the westerly line of Evans Avenue, known and designated as Unit No. h.
CURZON AVENUE: from the easterly line of Fhron Street to the
westerly line of Bourine Street, known and designated as Unit No. 5.
I have included in said Specifications, as directed by
the Ordinance of the City Council ordering said work, Specifications
for the following materials, to-wit:
