(M&C Needed) T COUNTY OF TARRANT Is WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth (City) and Stream Water Group, Inc. (Engineer) made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 37026 (the Contract) which was authorized by the City Council by M&C C-22744 on the 20th day of April, 2008; and WHEREAS, the Contract involves engineering services for the following project: Engineering Design Services: for Pavement Reconstruction and Water and Sanitary Sewer Replacements on 7C Haskell Street and Mattison Avenue; 7D Hervie Street and Lake Como Drive; 7E Curzon Avenue, Penticost Street and Sanguinet Street; 7F Crestline Road, Dexter Street , Fredrick Street and Sutter Street and 7G Clark Avenue and Washington Terrace (Project Nos. 7CA0930, 7D- )09359 7E-009329 7F40934 7G40938), WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 2 to said Contract to include an increased scope of work and revised maximum fee; NOW THEREFORE, City and Engineer, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the Contract: 1. Article I of the Contract is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in a proposal letter dated February 19, 2010, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer total $42,247.00 (Water $5,679.00, Sewer $33,099.00 and Paving $3,469.00). 2. Article II of the Contract is amended to provide for an increase in the maximum fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall not exceed the sum of $687,522.00 3. All other provisions of the contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect. DISCUSSION: This amendment includes additional design engineering and surveying services for water, sanitary sewer and pavement on Fletcher Avenue, Penticost Street, Sutter Street and Washington Terrace. The services include 686 linear feet of water services, 1,742 linear feet of sanitary sewer, 4,210 linear feet of survey and traffic control plans for Athenia Drive, Fletcher Avenue and Goodman Avenue. The engineer is requesting $42,247.00 for the additional services and staff agrees that the fee requested is reasonable for the work to be performed. In addition to the original contract amount, $2,000.00 is required for project management. This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7, Masco 61 W, 74R, 75P/K, 75H, 75C.
