City Secretary
Tionorabie mayor and
Members of the City Council Re: Requested Closing of North
City of Fort Worth Pecan Street, 37th Street
to 38th Street
Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen:
On November 3, 1954, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 3260, tempo-
rgrily closing North Pecan Street from 37th Street to 38th Street as
shown on the attached plat. A request has now been received to make the
closing permanent in order to allow consolidation and development of the
adjacent property, which is industrially zoned.
The Public Works, Traffic Engineering, and Planning Departments have in-
vestigated this request and have determined that the requ6sted permanent
closing will not affect traffic circulation in the area. The municipal
and private utility companies have agreed to the requested closing.
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted rescinding Ordinance No.
3260 and permanently closing North Pecan Street from the north line of
37th Street to the south line of 38th Street, save and except that ease-
ments be reserved for any and all existing utilities.
Respectfully submitted,
