CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVMTLSED IN A.
DAILY NEWSPAPM PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE
CITY C;+MTR; AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
PRESCRI3ING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPEC=CfI G AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort
Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral
part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County,
Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEEIG a tract of land about 12 .miles northwest from the Courthouse of
Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all o: part of the J.
Wilcox No. 35, J. Wilcox No. 38, J. Wilcox No. 36, J. Wilcox No. 391 J.
Wilcox No. 42 and J. Wilcox No. 43, Surveys and being more fully described
as follows:
BEGIhTNBG at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, in the southwesterly right-of-way line of State Highway No. 199: 50
feet north from the north line of the M. aunt Survey;
THM0CE northwesterly along the present City Limit Line of the City of
Fort Worth, the southwesterly right-of-way line of State highway No. 199,
to its intersection with the north line of the J. Wilcox No. 43 Survey;
Thence west along the north line of the J. Wilcox No. 43 Survey to a
point 350 feet southwesterly from the center line of State Highway No. 199;
THMMICE southeasterly along a line parallel to and 350 feet southwesterly
from the center line of State Highway No. 199 to a point 50 feet north from
the north line of the h1. Hunt Survey;
THENCE east along the Present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth,
parallel to and 50 feet north from the north line of the M. Hunt Survey to the
place of beginning and containing approximately .116 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict
herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance No. 4734,
heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as to all other ordinances or
sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and
is hereby made cumulative.
Section 3.
That this ordinance shall be published'one time in a daily newspaper published
in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter
XXVIII of the City Charter.
Section 4.
If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance
is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections., subsections,
clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and
indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance.
Section 5.
That this ordinance shall become,effective and be in full force and effect upon
its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the
date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
