HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 6575 ORDINANCE NO. �fS& AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT CAMPANA STREET IN THE 6700 BLOCK ADJACENT TO LOT 12, BLOCK 292, WEDGWOOD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, AND ALL UTILITY EASEMENTS ON AND ADJACENT TO LOTS 1R THROUGH 12 IN SAID BLOCK 292 BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXASs SECTION 1. That Campana Street in the 6700 block adjacent to Lot 12, Block 292, Wedgwood Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tar- rant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That all utility easements on and adjacent to Lots 1R through 12, Block 292, Wedgwood Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same are hereby ex" tinguished, vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as ease- ments for public utilities. SECTION 3. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said street and easements above described is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY: City Attorney i City of Fort Worth, Texas LINE Mayor and Council Communication R MATSON DWG +-KAIE REFERENCE SUBJECT: Vacation of Campana Street and PAGE NUMBER Easements in Wedgwood, Block 29 6095I1 1 IM ;10/26/71 Pz-468 1 of 1 (V-71-41) @IVA.A^,A ;ALL:, REED FARRI GTONThe Essex Company, owner of all adjoining land, has requested that the City vacate Campana Street in the 6700 block a width of 50 feet and a VALKES 11L...length of approximately 165 feet adjacent to Lot 12, Black 292, Wedgwood Addition and all utility easements on and adjacent to Lots 1R through 12, Block 292, Wedgwood Addition. This portion of Campana Street, acquired by dedication is now paved. The y easements, also acquired by dedication, do not contain any existing utility facilities. The Applicant proposes to replat Block 292 with adjoining property to the south in order to provide a 12.54 acre school site. City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objections, provided the Applicant replats and furnishes all necessary easements. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way and easements as requested. The Applicant will submit a satisfactory replat by October 26, 1971. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of- way and easements as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
