AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
A PORTION OF THRALL STREET (ALSO KNOWN AS RAVINE)
IN THE 500 BLOCK A WIDTH OF 50' AND A LENGTH OF
275' NORTHWARD FROM ELSIE STREET TO THE PORTION
OF LUDELLE STREET PREVIOUSLY CLOSED BY ORDINANCE
NO. 3360; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE
IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That a portion of Thrall Street (also known as Ravine)
in the 500 Block a width of 50' and a length of 275' north-
ward from Elsie Street to the portion of Ludelle Street
previously closed by Ordinance No. 3360, be and the same is
hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as a right-
of-way for street purposes.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described street
right-of-way is hereby released and will revert to the ad-
jacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that ease-
ments are reserved therein for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage
and it is so ordained.

National Old Line Insurance Company, with consent of John L. Choate, owner
of all abutting property, have requested that the City vacate Thrall Street
(also known as Ravine) in the 500 block a width of 50 feet and a length of
275 feet northward from Elsie Street to the portion of Ludelle Street
previously closed by Ordinance No. 3360 as shown on the attached map.
Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is unimproved. There are
existing storm, sanitary sewer and water facilities located therein.
The reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections
to this request provided the vacated right-of-way is platted with adjoining
property and easements are shown on the replat for existing drainage and
utility facilities. A satisfactory replat has been submitted to Staff.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that subject
right-of-way be vacated as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way
as requested.
